Used 2006 Toyota RAV4 4dr SUV 4WD (2.4L 4cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
OK so far
Bought rav4 for the quality and it's been great in the snow and it did have 29000 when purchased. Few minor things, air pressure warning problems, some brake issues.
It's what i expected
The look of the new RAV4 is very nice, much better than the previous models. The fuel economy is great.

Almost a year
I bought my Rav last year. I have absolutely no complaints about it. It has performed very well, no problems at all. I have the 4cyl 4WD which is very peppy, no problems passing on highways. Handles flawlessly on snow and ice. The only thing I would suggest to anyone considering a base model... don't. Mine is a base and I regret not getting the Sport for about 1200 more. Am not crazy about the base seats, they're light colored and can easily show stains.
The Grand RAV4
I purchased this vehicle in August. Already with 2200 miles on it. Love it as much as my Camry, that I retired with 268,000 miles. Currently, getting 28 mpg with Shell Gas, driving 64 miles round trip per day. Quiet, quality, great dealership....the base engine is spunky with plenty of pickup...
Jiggle all the way
Purchased my Rav in June 06. At the time, I too was very excited about my new car as are many of the posters for the new 08 model. After almost a year and a half am ready to trade it in. The fit and finish are very good. Reliability has been excellent. My main problem is the ride. It seems that I can feel every crack in the road. Going over bumbs in the road is torture. The ride is harsh to put it mildly. I traded a Subaru Outback for the Rav, the Subie's ride was much better than the Rav's.
