Looks exotic and needs repaired just
needs repaired just as much. I love the spyder its a great looking, awesome handling, head turning machine, it just lacks the power thats needed to keep up with the rest of the performance market. I have owned my spyder since Jan of 01 but recently got rid of it because of reliability issues alot of people were having. Not small ones either--major engine failures. The oil control rings are poorly designed/machined, which leads to oil being burned and the catalytic convertors frying. The subsequent damage is usually bad enough to warrant an engine replacement. Spyder Seq Man Tran
This is one fun little pocket rocket. Where else can you get this much performance, handling, and satisfaction for your $. I love the style and the "hey what was that" looks that we get from other drivers. The car is unique and gathers looks wherever we go. The six speed SMT may not be as quick as the full manual five speed, but it is suprisely nimble. This car likes to run in the high revs, corners like a cheetah, and makes the weekend drives a whole lotta fun. The car is solid and tight, a near perfect suspension.

My MR2
I get a lot of attention when i drive this vehicle. Kids on the street holler at me when i drive by telling me how cool my car is; when i get out of it in a parking lot, people comment to me how much they like my car; when i get gas, men come up to me and tell me that i have a very nice car, etc. Sometimes when i'm leaving a store, i'll catch people looking at my car and talking about it.
Like A Go-Kart for Big Kids
If you love to drive and don't want to shell out for a Porsche, this is your car. It handles like it's on rails. So much so that it takes a little time to get used to it if you're not accustomed to high performance mid-engine coupes. I've known a couple of people who have these just to take to the track as a sprint car. They handle just that well.
THE CAR THAT DOES NOT DRIVE
I HAVE HAD THE SPYDER FOR ABOUT 9 MONTHS AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. I HAVE THE SEQUENTIAL SHIFT AND HAVE HAD MAJOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES.
