'04 Toyota Matrix XRS 6 speed
Bought the car end of September '03 as an '04. Was about to take the silver one on the lot...however, it had 116 miles on it!! To top it off...after you got the car moving in 1st and pressed the clutch all the way..there was this whining sound!! terrible!! Needless to say, I took home another Silver Matrix XRS a few days later! I really wanted the GPS but wasn't willing to order it and get no discount on a car...hey it's a Toyota.. wanted to see the GPS in action before taking one home w/ it.

The matrix is a great car. Dispite what the editors review say, its fun to drive. I agree with some consumers in that Toyota can improve on the quality of it's dash board interior. I hope they're listening. Overall, it's drivability has been very reliable and I push it hard.
Blue Babe
My first foreign car. I love it! Great mileage, ease of handling, eye catcher. Hope to have it a long time.
Love it
I love this car. My girlfriend and I looked at everything from the Jeep Grand Cherokee to the VW jetta TDI and we settled on the matrix because it is the perfect blend of fun, function, and value!
More car than you may think
I actually bought one of the first cars on the lot in 2/2002, so I've had it for nearly two years - folks still think it's brand new! Surprisingly roomy interior - fits 5 adults comfortably, to say nothing of hauling $3,000 in fundraiser candy! Very sporty handling, with "sexy" 6 speed manual transmission (teenage boys are deeply impressed by it). It's been an absolute kick to zip around in, and is a real head turner. My 16 year old son made me test drive it, and that's all it took.
