BE CAREFUL IN HEAVEY TRAFFIC
I have had the car fo a year. Good looking car and happy with the build quality. Interior comfort is great and has a lot of storage. Had the car back to the dealer 4 times for the brakes with no resolution. They are soft and undersized for the car. Mileage is not near what they claim.
Good Value!
I have had my matrix since June 2004, and it has been a great car. I average about 27-28 MPG mainly city driving. I love the interior. The only thing I would change is my exterior color. I got the Indigo Ink, and it is very hard to keep clean. If I had to choose again, I would get red instead. Overall, a very good car with a great stereo system. I LOVE the redesign for 2005.

JDB's Review
Vehicle handles well, with the 16" tires it has a good ride.
the best small car
thebest small car i have ever owned.
Seats are a problem
I bought this car for the cargo capacity. I use the fold down front passenger seat feature. Unfortunately the driver's seat is uncomfortable for me on long trips. Too much side bolster and not enought lumbar. Compared to the new Mazda 3 hatchback, the interior is nothing special.
