Used 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser Consumer Reviews
Love my new 2008 LC
Traded in my 2000 LC for 2008 LC. I also own a 2004 LC. I like everything about the 08 LC (including the new design). I tow a large boat that was a problem for my 2000 LC - not a problem with the 08! The 08 has better power, handling, off-road capabilities, more rugged, really sharp looking interior (and exterior). To me the 08 is worth every penny.
Solid
Has enough room for all of us. Plenty of luxury for the kids.

Best car ever!
Bought it in 2009 with 15000 km. Now (10/2020) 353000 km. Just replaced all injectors, front shock absorbers, bracke calibers and air mass meter. The car well maintained still runs like new. I have no desire to buy anything else. My Model is the 4.5 V8 Twinturbo Diesel.

No personality
This vehicle is not what we were hoping for. No personality, no character, very poor instrumentation design, exterior styling that is non-existent. It is a carbon copy of a Highlander, and you can buy two of those for one of these. Wait for the next redesign.
Durability that equals its capability
After owning, maintaining, rebuilding and repairing over 150 personal vehicles in my life, I can say I've learned a lot! I just wish I knew 50 years ago what I know now. I could have retired.... The biggest thing I realized is Japanese built vehicles are probably the best built vehicles today, and have been for some time. Are they perfect? Nothing is perfect, but some are exceptionally good, and far better than just about everything else. That description describes Toyota Landcruisers, and ours is a 2008 series 200 with a 5.7L NA V8. It currently has right at 400,000 miles on the clock, still drives amazingly good, looks beautiful, and to sell it is going to be hard on us, as it has served us well...To replace it, we will simply be buying a newer series 200, as they are that good! If you have the opportunity to inspect one on a lift, it will immediately explain why they last so long. Everything is overengineered, and look like they belong on a one ton truck. From its robust box frame, the KDSS suspension assist system, and how everything is designed/mounted, its clear its built to a new level.....which is actually an old tradition of Japanese ways of building things. Older pre 2008 Landcruisers, already have followings, with some even at cult levels, which is because of how they affect their owners. Few vehicles do this, and to explain how it happens, is very difficult to explain, other than to compare it to a part of your family that is always there for you, thick or thin, for better or worse. My suggestion for those that are looking for an extremely reliable, durable and off road capable family sized SUV, that will never let them down, is to look for a well loved Landcruiser. You will never regret it!
