Used 2016 Toyota Highlander Limited 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Best mid-size SUV
Extremely comfortable. Good looking. Proven reliability. This SUV is great. Zero complaints. I did not like the Honda Pilot interior, nor the past reliability, nor the "new" engine, transmission of the Pilot. Still zero complaints after almost 2 years, 22,000 miles.

2016 Highlander falls short of expectations
Vehicle feels heavy when accelerating. No HID or rear LED lights available :( Entune System is horrible! Toyota should offer Android Auto & Apple Carplay. it is 2016 you know. Navigation is not always accurate, does a poor job of finding alternate routes. Have to use portable Tomtom GPS for long trips. I would not buy again.

Loud 2016 Hybrid
It's a good car but.. It is loud due to excessive noise from the windows. Took it to the dealership at 5300 miles they compared it to another similar vehicle and said it was the way it was made and that they wouldn't do anything about it. Not only is the problem annoying, the service dept with all its fufu cookies and cream won't do anything for an actual problem. I bought a foriegn car for too much money to support renewable energy technology and do my part to persuade the US auto industry to become more involved as well. Unfortunately, this foreign company is learning the bad behaviors of US companies and denying the existence of a problem probably because its cheaper for them. I hope others will read this and be encouraged to speak out as well, if we do nothing they will too

Toyota still is the best of Japan
I have owned (including my 2016 Highlander in this review) three Toyotas and each one was an unbelievable vehicle and the same goes for this Highlander Limited AWD. One can pick apart each and every line item disliked about the car - but I will only mention one thing - for a "premium" upgrade (Limited AWD) Toyota does no favors by continuing to put that miserable sound system in these vehicles. I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything positive about it mentioned and I know Toyota could have done better here. They need to. I will keep my head unit since I have Navigation and it is just smart to keep what's there BUT will remove and replace all 11 speakers and the sub to be replaced with a higher quality product and some sound insulation in those doors to prevent the vibrating I have now. It's the only car Ive ever bought with a disappointing premium sound system. The good is a long list. The Highlander is beautiful, fast enough and will tow anything you would need to. I just moved from Houston to San Jose with a 12 foot trailer packed floor to ceiling and end to end and that vehicle didn't miss one beat on the drive across those Rockies. It's a powerhouse that comes with a nice luxe package for quick roadtrips with friends to the casino in Tahoe. It's been a great vehicle just like the '87 4-Runner the '91 Celica GT-S both were.
