2006 Toyota Highlander 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 4A)

We purchased a Toyota Highlander the last week of June, 2006. We got the base model with the 2.4L 4-cyl. engine, which has very good performance. We have no problems with highway driving or acceleration. I haven't owned it long enough to give hard mileage estimates, but it looks like the 22/27 or so on the sticker is accurate with 87 octane. The backseat is VERY roomy. The ride is terrific when compared to other SUVs in this segment, being based on the Camry. There's no 'rollover' feeling at all when changing lanes at highway speeds. The turning radius is incredibly small for its size. Being based on a Camry, I expect to own this car for at least 150,000 miles.

Bought the SUV new at the time this SUV was made in Japan 90%, 10% in the states. The trk {SUV} is good on gas especially with the K & N air filter I put in the air compartment, and get up an go power. More than any v-8. This SUV has 3.3 V6, people said was slow but with this air filter it acts like a race engine. I bought the 2 wd drive for towing my boat of 18' of which it pulls out of the water with a full tank. Mind you NO 4 WD drive. Actually would like a hybrid high. for future. Hybrids are a needed thing the way Gasoline is heading. Not 25 cent a gallon anymore.

Love it! Drives like a Camry and just as quiet, luxurious and comfortable too. Handles well in all situations. Just all-around great performance! Stereo, air conditioning and heating are incredible in sound and performance. Everything it's cracked up to be.

best car I ever purchased bought it July 2006 it has 167900 miles on it. I had other vehicles to go along with this one but none and I mean none measured up to this suv. No repair bills in 15years tires belts oil and a tune up that's it. Best car O ever had. If I listed all the cars I had in those 15 years you would not believe me. So I still have the paperwork to when I bought it in glove box.

It feels solid, secure and safe. I`m 6ft tall, the seats are too short and gives me no thigh support. I'm only getting 16-18 mpg with mostly highway miles and the cup holders are placed too far back.
