I bought my 2017 Corolla Im brand new, It's a sharp looking car that gets great gas mileage (40 hwy) and with the back seat folded down you can fit all kinds of yard sale bargains !

Purchased a new 2017 Toyota Corolla IM after 4 yrs had some changes during those 4 years. Let’s start with the cons and the most defective flaw and really important it’s that lack of picking up acceleration when trying doing a left or right in a moving intersection did complain to Toyota bcs I fell it’s a very scary moment when you press the gas pedal to the metal you expect reasonable pick up and go but not this Corolla it lacks power to start up very beautiful looking sporty car where is the turbo Toyota , next con it’s the speakers they start to go I didn’t figured yet if the problem is the wiring or the speakers it self those are the cons so far the pros is once I installed a cold air intake removed the resonator and the both mufflers and just had a straight pipe and one performance muffler I did gain a couple horse power plus the torque it’s way better than the original but still if they had installed a factory turbo I would give a 100 percent my fav pros on this car is the amazing handling in snowstorms and ice storm with a good winter tires on it I control the car beautiful and confident and I live in north of Canada of course it’s not a 4 wheel drive if you go into a bank of snow you willl get stuck I’m referring is while driving in the road during snowstorms , gas mileage is ok if you push it up to 120 or higher driving for a hour you will see the needle descending, i recommend if you know how to drive manual get it in a manual transmission you will have more control if you get it in a automatic I recommend you set it to M and shift up and down as you drive for better speed control and acceleration my IM got 220.000 km and I fell very comfortable when I’m on it not sure about tall people at the rear seats so overall I would buy again but the only thing I would avoid is getting the extended warranty trust me not worth and I would get in a manual transmission .

I was excited to check out the Corolla I'm but immediately put off by the garish slash of misplaced design across the dash and the fact that there was no CD player. Some of us still like cd's and don't really want to be put into a position to have to buy some over priced iphone just to enjoy a little music. Anyway what about books on cd for those long trips. Not everyone wants to conform to your idea of the latest trend, no need to fix what isn't broken. See ya, I'm off to by something else.

This was the first car I have ever owned that was brand new and I still love it! Pros: compact, nice gas mileage, hatch gives decent cargo space for compact car, rear seat folds forward for hauling large items, sport mode is zippy and fun, mine has the all weather package with makes cleaning easy. Con: It is a bit tight on space with 2 car seats installed (didn't have 2 kids when I purchased it). Sometimes in hot weather (95F+) acceleration is slow- Not sure if it was the car or tires but this has gotten better over time. On rare occasions the brake alert will go off even though there is no car in front. I think it is due to the suns reflection and/or the curve of the road and cars parked on the side. Overall I love this car. The cons do not bother me but they are somethings to be aware of if you are interested in this car.

The sticker reads 28 city- 37 hwy- 31 combined but that's a total lie! The best I got so far has been 23.5 mpg. Also the cabin is very noisy, it's a shame they couldn't spend $25.00 at the factory for some sound deadening! I've owned 4 Toyotas and this is the most dissapointing one I've owned!
