Used 2017 Toyota Corolla iM 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl CVT) Consumer Reviews
Good commuting car
I bought the Corolla iM for three main reasons – gas mileage, Toyota reliability, and hatchback (also a second car for commuting). I do not want to go into the detail because info is available everywhere on the web including Consumer Reports if you have access to. I have driven the car for about three weeks now and overall it is a decent car for commuting and running errands. I am a 55 years old, picky, and simple so all the fancy features the car has are irrelevant except the backup camera. I am in fact bothered by the Eco Mode flashing, too distractive, affecting my attention to traffic, road condition, or maybe thinking about something interesting. This is a useless function because my brain controls my foot, so I should know which mode I am driving. I had been waiting for years to get a perfect Honda fit, but I read about the not so user friendly touch-screen of Fit and that discouraged me from even giving the car a chance. There is no perfect hatch back out there for me, so I am planning on keeping it as long as it goes. This morning I thought of a solution, I will cover the Eco Mode with a piece of black electrical tape. Hopefully I will enjoy my new car better.

Sporty looking car
I've had the car for 3 month. So far, I love the car. I read the reviews by the pros and I think they have no idea what they are talking about. The acceleration on I-95 is great. The car is very comfortable. My gas economy is outstanding. Nothing appears cheap in the interior as I read in some of the reviews. I had a compact Chevrolet Sonic prior to this car. The Sonic had twice as much trunk space as this car. The only problem that I ran into is insurance. I'm 62 and a perfect driving record. With all the advanced safety features in this vehicle, my insurance went up $166 a year. WHY!!! I thought it would go down. The only features that I added to the car was painted on pinstripes and tinted windows. I purchased the vehicle for $17,100 (CVT). I now have the car for 18 months. No problems.

my second toyota
In my humble opinion toyota has come way down on the way they put these cars together. The gaps at the hood and other joints such as doors and bumper cover are huge! Very sloppy toyota. I can stand next to the car and look in through the hood and see the cap on the wind shield washer. I can see the white clamps in the joint between the fender and bumper cover. I can look at the door jam and see the bolts on the door hinge. Those of us that are loyal to toyota buy them because we hope they arent put together like a ford or chevy.

SPRING GREEN MACHINE
Excellent front leg room for this six foot guy. CVT makes a strange growl in reverse, otherwise does a fine job. Needs more power, won't pull the hat off your head. I love this car and you will too, unless you are into performance.
