Got it with heavy discount over the Memorial Day weekend, 21900 out of the door with 0.9% financing, I would be fool to let it pass. Was eyeing on Honda Insight for a while but they certainly don’t have this kind of pricing. Anyway, I own a 2010 Prius with 200k mile on it, I know what kind of thing I should expect from a Toyota hybrid. We travel 200 mile to get this kind of the deal in South Carolina. On the way dry back home, my wife was driving my old Prius, I use adaptive curse control to follow my wife, speed between 60-80, when I got home, my Prius got 45mpg while the Corolla hybrid got 63 mpg. I was blown away with this kind of MPG. I thought it maybe outliner. I drive it to work for this week, my typical commute is 150 mile per day. I consistently getting 62-64 mpg on highway drive, all I would say is money well spent. The good: MPG Good looking Standard features are amazing CarPlay Quite (I know it’s very subjective, but much quieter than my 10 year old Prius for sure) The bad: Seat and arm rest fribic is rather harsh on skin, it feel dutiable but definitely not very comfortable. I am thinking to get some leather seat cover, kind of sux since Toyota actually has much better materials Stereo sound quality is rather horrible, the bad thing is it’s so intergrated with the entire car, I can’t replace it with an aftermarket unit. Maybe an amp later on. 325 dollar carpet and 67 dollar phone cables are rip off, and you can’t get away with them because it’s in sticker. I bought a set of all weather mat from the dealer for 170 dollar to replace the 325 dollar poor quality factory carpet. Toyota, if you are listening, throw something nicer for 325 please, the factory carpet feel like 10 dollars Walmart Chinese crap. Update after 2 years of ownership. I drive it for over 44k miles now, gas mileage did not disappoint me a hit, getting 60 mpg on summer and 50-55 during winter. My wife is very heavy foot, still getting 55mpg in normal drive.

I am currently averaging 63mpg in the 2020 Corolla. This car drives nice-it won’t put you back in your seat but it’s a Hybrid so that’s expected. My Only complaint is they only make it in one Trim level. I really wanted blind spot monitoring and leather...

Best Toyota I ever owned. This corolla hybrid gets at least 58 miles per gallon combine, It ride smoothly. Safety technology like adaptive cruise control works flawlessly. No hands on the steering wheel. It can drive and steer itself for about 10 seconds.

A bit slow on pick up other wise seems to be a great car, takes some getting used to with the push button start and shutting the engine off, very quiet vehicle.

UPDATE at 23,000 miles. This car is still amazing. Pros: 1)Fuel Econ is over 55 without trying. My tank high is 68mpg. 2) car is very comfortable for the driver not so much for passengers. 3) reliable -it’s never faltered in any way. 4) the perfect commuter or service car for one person. BTW, I’ve camped in the car several times by taking out back seats and installing a bed platform I made. Once, my wife camped with me. Climate control is fantastic for this!!!!!! CONS: 1)Paint is thin and scratches easily! 2) passenger seat positioning is horrendous. THAT’S IT! Great car!!!would purchase again in a heartbeat. I’ve put over 1,000 miles on this car in a little over a week since I purchased it. It’s my second hybrid. First was a 2008 Prius. There is no comparison between the two cars. I’m 6’3” and 250lbs. This car is tremendously comfortable for me. I drove an Insight and felt like I had to nearly lay down to get in it. Once inside it, my right knee started hurting from being pressed against the console. Enough about the subpar Honda. The Corolla is superior. I’m avg. 64 mpg with 70% driving on two lane roads, 20% at 68mpg on parkway and 10% in the city. Great ride and unbelievably quiet!! So far, it’s been fantastic. My only complaint is that the passenger seat can’t be raised so my passengers tend to “fall” into the seat, especially the first time they ride in the car. Great job, Toyota! The Prius could be on life support.
