Great car, but easy to chip paint

I bought my 2021 Toyota Corolla hybrid in January 21, 2021. I have 3k miles on it. Runs perfectly. Love the car, but I am seeing paint chipping all over the car. Even on my back doors. Because of the paint chipping. I'll give it 3 stars. I did buy my car from Dick Hannah in Kelso Washington. Please if you buy this car. Get the extra layer of protection. I'm probably going to have to get a new paint job on this car.

In my opinion, this car is much more sporty looking than the Prius. I live in a big city in an apartment. There are not many charging ports for cars in our parking garage so a hybrid was a great option for me to be green but also not have to worry about charging it. The Corolla is also small enough to fit in small parking sports or make sharp turns. It isnt the fastest at accelerating but once you get at the speed you want on the freeway it coasts and is so quiet. Im averaging 58 MPG since getting the car.

Solid car. Gas mileage has been better than EPA numbers. (Pump and math calculation). Almost a year old, 18k miles. No problems. Would definitely buy again. Purpose built car. So if you don't want great gas mileage, very low emissions, and low price-don't buy it.

We are two seniors needing all the available safety features. We are getting used to it after two days, but so far we love it. Highly rated by Consumer Reports.

UPDATE I now have over 17,000 miles on this car. My fuel mileage is consistently over 52mpg without even trying. There have been zero issues with the vehicle, except for picking up a nail in a tire. The car is comfortable, rides good and drives great. The only complaints I have are the lack of blind spot monitoring-this is a terrible omission on Toyota’s part. I also think there is significant road noise associated with these tires. This car is FAR better in every way than the 2008 Prius I bought new. I’ve put over 1,000 miles on this car in a little over a week since I purchased it. It’s my second hybrid. First was a 2008 Prius. There is no comparison between the two cars. I’m 6’3” and 250lbs. This car is tremendously comfortable for me. I drove an Insight and felt like I had to nearly lie down to get in it. Once inside, my right knee started hurting from being pressed against the console. Enough about the subpar Honda. The Corolla is superior. I’m avg. 64 mpg with 70% driving on two lane roads, 20% at 68mph on parkway and 10% in the city. Great ride and unbelievably quiet!! So far, it’s been fantastic. My only complaint is that the passenger seat can’t be raised so my passengers tend to “fall” into the seat, especially the first time they ride in the car. Great job, Toyota! The Prius could be on life support.
