This car jumps
Quick and dependable, Ive driven this car alot of miles (53,500) and in most if not all driving situations. The performance is what sold me the car in the first place. Its cornering is superb, with a little bit of a loose feel when you get towards 'the edge'. It can punch a hole through freeway packs with great accelaration from 60-90, nimble and precise steering, and small footprint. Had a couple 18-hour stints in the seat, and stayed comfortable. As far as dependability, though, Ive done little more than change the oil every 3 or 4k miles, and it still hums and drives like new.

Best car I've ever owned!
I've had my 2000 celica since 2006 when I bought it used and it has been amazing. I have had almost no problems with it even though I bought the car with 80,000 miles. Only thing that has happened is the distributor went out at about 100,000 mi, and one of my CV joints went out at the same time( which I highly recommend fixing as soon as it goes out, the car used to turn on its own with the broken one) Besides that though nothing seem to be going wrong my check engine light is one at 150,000 but still runs as smooth and powerful as the day I got it.(most likely O2 sensors)
Go Karting!
If u like go karting, u will love this the Celica! After 3 yrs of ownership at 36500 miles currently, I've enjoyed every second in this little rocket. It's a real ZOOM ZOOM experience every time! Steering is quick and precise, cornering is firm and confident, braking is responsive, straight line acceleration is a blast when VVTLi kicks in at 6000rpm and all the way to 8200rpm redline! The only problems I had was the infamous squeaky belt tensioner and a peeling moonroof. They were all covered under warranty.
Celica GT-S (auto)
I've been driving my Celica for over two years now. It's been a very reliable piece of transportation. I'm somewhat disappointed in the high rev'ing powerband. Even in the "sport" tiptronic mode, I find that it has minimal power to move across intersections or through traffic. Once the engine reaches full "boil" performance is better. Interior and exterior fit and finish have held up well over the last 2.5 years. It requires Premium grade fuel, so expect to pay out the $1.62+ at the pump.
