Used 2003 Toyota Camry LE 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 5M) Consumer Reviews
Reliable
I love my Camry. Traded up from a 97 Civic, VERY glad I did. Camry is very plain, but what it lacks in eye appeal it makes up for in the checkbook. Great power for a 4cyl while still getting good (30 mpg) mileage. Wish abs brakes were standard. A perfect family car.
Have had problems
This is my first Toyota - and probably last. For the price premium I've not received the reliability I looked forward to having. Case in point: At 71,400 miles the a/c quit working, the first ever a/c problem I've had on any car I've owned before 100,000 miles! My service tech said I "had to take it to the dealer". (Thanks again, Toyota!) The dealer said the a/c compressor AND clutch needed replacing, for $1300+ for a rebuilt unit no less, not a new part. That, and $35 to lubricate a "squawking" steering column rubber piece. The ride and comfort is great, but I'm afraid of too many repairs in the future. I feel so stupid - buy a 100,000 mile warranty like with any other car!

I test drove many Camry's . . . all good quality. I would have bought sooner, but the Camry's you find with a good deal sell too quickly. Not only that, but some dealerships have jerks for managers. It was a hassle to find a good deal, but the car is worth it. It's good all around, don't expect sport, young or hipness, but very smart and sensible.
Excellent Car for Short People
This is my third Toyota Camry. I've had a '96 Camry & '99 Camry; bought all brand new. The 2003 model year is my least favorite. They have downsized it too much. If this was the first time I had bought a Camry, it would've been my last. It's so uncomfortable because the bottom of the seats are too short; not enough support. If you are 5'3 or shorter then you will like this car. I was told it was 3 inches larger than the other models. It seems much smaller to me.
2003 Toyota
Vehicle has been extremely reliable, at 107,000 runs stronger than when new, only maintenance other than fluid changes, have to install front brakes at 80,000 miles. Very, very reliable especially considering it has been driven by two adults and two youth operators.
