Used 2003 Toyota Camry LE 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 5M) Consumer Reviews
poor
brake problems starting at 8000 miles, car in shoe more then at home. replacing brakes every 8000 miles per Toyota is normal.
Pings
My 2003 Camry has been good. The Ride is nice, it's comfortable and roomy but I get a pinging type sound when I accelarate. You can only hear it when the driver's side window is open not inside the car. It doesn't effect accelation but the noise is annoying and I don't know what it could mean down the road. I've been to two dealership who agree there is a noise or pinging type sound but don't know what to do about it. I would be curious if any one else hears this noise on their 2003 Camry's
Loose Drivers Seat
The drivers seat design is poor. The seat "pops" while driving. I am told that this is a normal feature. It is very distracting to have the seat move when I start and stop. I've had anti- freeze leaks(4). The car's ride is poor-it has a tendency to roll while driving in a straight line.
Plain Vanilla
First Toyota I have owned. Nice car, but feels like I have purchased and am driving a toaster. Car is lightweight on the highway and blows around if following a semi trailer. Front seats are not supportive and my legs go to sleep after 30-45 minutes of driving, due to very short seat cushion. Perhaps my 6 foot size is a factor, but I am slim in build also.
Good Car, Great Value
This is a great car. It is very reliable and has low cost maintenance. Great for a family or a single person. I purchased my car used and it was the best car purchase. I sold it at 93,000 miles but it is still a great car with a lot of life left. I also learned the resale value is great which was another bonus.
