This is nearly the perfect car. It is quiet, smooth, well built and inexpensive to drive. It's only draw back is it isn't fancy. Not much for little convience things like the temperature gage you have to push a button and see either the time or temperature. What would it cost to have a seperate display, 50 cents or so. If you want a car that will run and run and be nice to drive without a lot of expense you will be hard pressed to do better than this.

I've owned two Camry models so far.The first was a 98 v6 manual that I LOVED. It gets totaled of course. So, I went out and bought the same car but newer: 2001 v6 manual LE model. It's got comfortable leather seats, sunroof that looks slick when tilted, and a nice wood trim package. It feels like a Lexus ES. Here's the best part. ITS PAID OFF. I'm in college, so I dont have alot of money. I wanted a little style, performance, and reliability without a monthly note. This car was the answer. I got style and comfort with the wood trim, leather, and 25% tint, performance with the workhorse v6 that surprising powerful with a manual shift, and reliability that is the best. Bought the car for 2 grand with 153k, drove it everywhere, including 1000 miles on a road trip. Only needed a few average repairs for its age, which were cheap. Engine/transmission bulletproof. Buy one of these if your a student, or if you dont have alot of money but want a paid-off reliable vehicle that has some style.

I love my Camry. I have a 01 CE and the only complaint I have is the design is boring, but my car is reliable. I've put around 61k miles on it since I bought it in 06 and at a little under 130k it's still going strong. Replaced charcoal canister a few months after purchase, very minor. Outside of oil changes, brake changes and new tires and alignment I've had absolutely no problems. Timing belt is due (probably overdue) to be replaced. I love my car and I'm going to ride her until the wheels fall off. I'm actually in the market for a new vehicle and because of my wonderful experience with "Deja" more than likely I'll be buying another Camry.

This is my second camry. The first was a 1991 Camry which I traded in to get my 2001 Camry. We are a Toyota family and I love my 2001 Camry. It seem like the 2001 Camry rides a bit smoother, with a faster pickup. The sound coming from my stereo is awesome.

This car has been as reliable as everyone says Toyotas are. Now at 214,000 miles. Maintenance includes: 5k mile oil changes. A tranny flush and timing belt change every 80k or so. The only items I've had to replace other than maintenance was the interior clock (replaced for free by toyota) and the inner tie rods up front. Very solid and high quality.
