Used 2001 Toyota Camry Consumer Reviews
Appliance
The car is exactly what I want in a car. Comfortable, reliable, dependable. I wish it were better in the snow, but that's about the only qualm I can think of. Update 3-12-2019: Still have the car. Still the same review.

Have had the Camry for a little over 2 years now and here's what has gone wrong!!! Both driver's & passenger's window motor went out & had to be replaced. Car has overheated, cigarette lighter & phone charger outlet has has been replaced once already and still does not work! Car was not starting properly for 4 months and dealership was trying to tell me it was normal operating procedure of the car....finally had to replace entire computer for car. Also, plastic lining around bas eor door is ciming off...I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A TOYOTA AGAIN!!!!!
Camry
My seventh Toyota and it is a pleasure. I still have my '87 Camry wagon and it is in great shape as well. Reliable, reliable, reliable and hold their value well. Once I had a fancy expensive sports car, I don't need to look pretty while I wait for the tow truck in the hot Arizona sun. Six Toyotas and not a single complaint on any of them and I have never been left on the side of the road by any of them.
What more could I ask for?
My mother-in-law bought this car as a dealer demonstrator back in 2001. My wife bought it from her in 2009 and I've been driving it since 2010. This car is my daily commuter now with just over 120,000 miles on it. It's quiet, smooth ride, comfortable interior and spartan yet efficient control layout is just lovely. Sure, it's no sports car, but there's something to be said about a car like this. The gas mileage is decent- I'm averaging 24.4 MPG, with 31.9 MPG being my best tank of all-highway miles.

This has been a GREAT all around car for us. We have had it for about 18 months and have had nothing but good things to say. The Camry is spacious, comfortable, and quiet. We have a 2 year old and one more on the way, and we have no problems with fitting car seats in the back.
