Smooth as silk
I suppose the Solara has love it or hate it styling, at first I thought it looked a bit odd in the rear, but have gotten used to it and think it's quite nice looking. Gas mileage is amazing for such a roomy car, I average 30 mpg, and I sit in the worst traffic L.A. has to offer. Interior is arty, beautiful. I have the Lexus Pearlescent white paint option and spoiler, otherwise it's the base model. Lots o' features, including on board computer. Everyone has the impression I bought an expensive luxury car, so I'd say I got my money's worth. Paid under 19,000 for it brand spankin' new, and it looks and feels much more pricey.
My dream car
After reseraching many convertibles, I decided on the Solara based on my satisfaction with my 2001 Camry which I intended to keep as my work vehicle, however Hurricane Katrina claimed that car. The Solara convertible was so comfortable on the test drive that I knew this is the car I want.

Outstanding Quality
I have less than 3,000 miles on my car but driving it from Texas to Florida was a great experience for my husband and me. The quality and handling of the vehicle is superb in all categories.
Great Convertible
I hunted high and low for a red one. I finally found it and I love it. This car gets lots of looks. It is comfortable, peppy and looks great. Plus it has real, usable back seat for my kids or adults. It has a back as big my Accord or even bigger.
Fun, Hot Car
I have thoroughly enjoyed my Solara Convertible. Whenever I drive it with the top down, without fail, I get a positive comment from someone in a parking lot or at a stop light. I love the great take off power and the bonus of good gas mileage. Coming from the era of fabulous "muscle cars" consider it high praise for my "Hot" Solara. Anyone who wants a fun, reliable car the Toyota Solara convertible is a great choice!
