Used 2006 Toyota Camry Solara Consumer Reviews
I love my Solara! Desert Toyota too!
This was, without a doubt, the most stress free vehicle purchase in my 30+ years of driving. While my wife and I are die-hard Toyota owners, 35 years ownership of 10 different Toyotas between us, we had our price range and the dealer we wanted. Get a Solara convertible with the 6-cylinder engine. This car handles like a dream and is great on the freeway and city streets. It's great on a cool evening in the mountains and when the sun heats up the Valley come June, the AC is unbeatable. Great pick-up off the line and terrific sight lines. I suggest your next car be a Solara convertible
Great car
This car is responsive and very roomy. It is so quiet, I have to check the tachometer to make sure it's running. It is a fun car to drive.

Small things count
I purchased my Solara in the Fall of 04. Although Toyota quality is apparent...small shortcomings have detracted from my enjoyment of the car. For whatever reason Toyota elected not to install "foldback" type outside rearview mirrors. When shopping or parking in tight spaces people try to fold back the mirrors. The compass windshield mirror vibrates over 60 MPH which produces a distorted image that is very annoying. The front seats are not as comfortable as they first appear...especially on longer trips. Lastly, the car has a "drive by wire" feature which causes a slight hesitation when you first depress the gas pedal...hard to get used to. Small complaints perhaps but they add up.
Love My Solara Convertible
This is my second Solara Convertible in two years and my ONLY problem with it is that the rear seat headrests create major blind spots when the top is up. Thankfully the top is not up very often :^)
A Most Excellent Car
This is not only the first convertible I've ever owned but it's my first actual new car. After exhaustive research prior to buying I have to say that I am completely thrilled with the Solara. Fun to drive, hip and showy to look at and I know I can count on the Toyota quality. People mistake it for a Lexus constantly at first glance. When I drive it I can actually feel myself relaxing and unwinding on the way home from work. I couldn't have made a better choice! Black-on-black 2006 Solara Convertible SLE.
