Very Disappointed

I spent hours and hours doing research to find a vehicle that got good gas mileage-preferably at least 50mpg, in a "normal" price range. We decided on the Toyota Hybrid Camry LE. We put our deposit down (still the 23 model year), and months later finally received the call that a Toyota (24 model year) was ready for us. Well.........I have had it for about six weeks and VERY DISAPPOINTINGLY the mpg is no where near 50. I am a very conscientious driver, taking advantage of a long coasting to a stop and gradually increasing speed. Daily trip to and from work 12 miles with an average mpg in the upper 30's. A couple of longer trips rose the average mpg to about 44. This is very disappointing as this was the one reason we went with the Camry. Keep searching if you want a vehicle with at least 50mpg. I never ever write reviews, but........I wish I had known this before I spent over $30,000.

Noise, rattles, squeaks

Taking it back to the dealer again to try to get rid of rattles coming from the rear. Car has 2000 miles, picked it up new in June. Grabby brakes, wind noise, low quality sound system, and the rattles are very annoying. Had similar issues with a 07 Lexus ES and a 19 Camry Hybrid. It’s a company car, and I will be unlikely to order another toyota product next time. What good is the reliability if it’s low quality everywhere else?

Overall, the car appears to have a good balance of pros and cons. The high fuel efficiency and comfortable driving position are definite advantages, as is the impressive safety technology and ratings. However, some drivers may find the grabby brakes and floaty ride to be drawbacks, and the trunk being smaller than those of other hybrid sedans could be an inconvenience for some. Overall, it would be beneficial to test drive the car and consider one's specific needs and preferences before making a decision.
