I drove BMW's for 25 years the last 15 were 7 series and I was tired of repeated trips to the dealer to fix little anoyances. Mostly electronics or cheap plastics. This is the best car I have owned. Regardless of price! While handling is not as responsive or tight as a Luxury Eourpean Sedan it is comfortable, and reasuring. The interior is as roomy as my last 740 , the sound sytem is terrific, as is the A/C. The car is suprisingly fast as well. The extraordinary gas mileage is a real plus in today's $3.00/gal market.

This is what I wanted, Luxury with the quality of a Toyota. Limited is the way to go.

Amazed with this vehicle

I had 3 requirements - A/C seats, GPS, Laser Cruise Control. Laser Cruise is awesome, driver's seat cushion extension is dynamite, voice activated GPS is too cool, smart key is superb, I am averaging 31.4 mpg at 75 mph with A/C on --- can you beat that ? Plus 280 hp, 0-60 in 6.5 secs, 15.0 second 1/4 mile - UNBEATABLE. The Blizzard Pearl White with Ivory leather is absolutely gorgeous, I've had many compliments. Compare the interior dimensions on the new Avalon with ANYTHING out there and you will be sold. The A/C seats are superb and the 260 watt JBL stereo is outstanding.

This Avalon (Limited) for '06 in no longer the "poor man's Lexus" . It's my preference over Lexus AND Acura RL, both of which are waaaaay overpriced in my opinion. Quick on the trigger, and smooth in the saddle!

Traded up from 05 Prius

I know it seems strange to trade off the Prius for a Avalon Limited, after all there is no comparison in gas mileage, but it all comes down to personal needs. I am retired and the days of commuting to work are over. My wife and I do travel and drive long distances, consequently I prefer the power (especially for steep highway grades), comfort, stability and security the Avalon gives me. I definitely can do without the "Laser Cruise Control" & "Remote Engine start", saving about $1100. By the way the Prius is still a excellent car,for local and flat land driving. I have set my goal for a Prius 08 which I hope will have some improved features, but will still keep the Avalon.
