A few things that I would change...
Park far away because any door that hits into this car, you will get knicked. Gas mileage averages 20MPG and the best 25, not what it's rated at. Inside compartments get stuck sometimes. Passenger seat doesn't have many options. Kids love the back seat (reclining), but when left reclined, it's not comfortable getting into. Trunk space should be more. I'm keeping my van for family trips longer then 3 hours. I love riding in it & navigation is pretty easy. I don't have a problem with voice commands, but system doesn't like my husband's voice for some reason. (He doesn't have an accent, just a lower voice then mine!) Sometimes it takes several attempts.
Bad Paint
I have had this car and Three other Toyota's They started out good and keep getting worse. This car isn't a year old and the paint on the metal and the paint on the plastic are different colors now. I am sure it will get worse, but what are you suppose to do? The factory paint is way better than some person can do by hand. I won't let them touch the car... If it was a quality car, this would have never happened. Toyota has got to big and cares only about money, the thing the brought down ford and Chevy. By the way, mine is Silver, Stay away from the Silver ones. My past Toyota's were all Silver and had no problems. It just goes to show you where the quality is going.... down down down down..
My Avalon
This is the worst car I have ever purchased in my life. I absolutely hate this car. It is so ugly. I thought the "supposed" reliability and refinement that Toyota "supposedly" delivers would shine through, but I was sorely disappointed. The Avalon is just an unrefined automobile that has serious styling issues, and reliability issues. I have replaced the water pump already after 3 months of ownership, and the dealership was very unfriendly towards my purchase. I've even quit going to that dealership to have my car serviced. Toyota definetly hit a mud ball when they put this one out!!! I am trading it in for a new 300C or Five Hundred. I will never buy another Toyota.
