Of course I bought it cuz it looks great, and you know the other + things (no gas!). BUT, the ANNOYING sound the center armrests make when constantly squeaking against the seats!? The web browser that works 1% of the time, the programmable garage door opener function that seems to get amnesia.. at this point I haven't reprogrammed it cuz, whats the point, I'm going to have to do it again in a month!! Last week my rear D side window fell down after hearing a loud POP sound, guess it's the regulator? The seat are uncomfortable if your driving for over an hour. The Nav. doesn't automatically orient to "North is up" (shouldn't this be a given?) seems like i have some headlights going out also. Seems to have a lot of issues for a car that has LESS moving parts & less heat issues that a gas vehicle! my trim along the sunroof is falling in, Tesla wanted $400 to fix ( F.U.Tesla!) at this point, I'd NEVER buy another!! I'd checkout what BMW, mercedes, Lexus, Volvo have to offer! #NoLongeraFan

We tested a Tesla model S performance vehicle after we had our Alfa Romeo Stelvio for a year. The Tesla was quicker than our Alfa, and that's all I can say about it. However being a drag racer back in the 70's, I will say that performance would scare the life out of any daily driver. My wife is 5 ft tall, and the seat would not raise high enough for her to test drive it. Very disappointing. It was 91 degrees outside and the a/c never did perform adequately. All we can positively say about the Tesla is it was quiet. The dash is so lack luster, and the 100% information flat screen is too much to deal with when driving the vehicle. We had a hard time trying to find anything we were looking for even sitting in the parked car. Also the passenger door had to be slammed to get it to shut. Tesla does not have any quality control.Reading the complaints online, this has been a problem from the start. Tesla has not addressed, or corrected the fit and finish problems. The ride is hard and noisy when the road is anything but smooth. Tesla guarantees a buyer can return the vehicle within 7 days for a full refund. But they don't tell you that the refund of your money may take months. All people need to do is look at all the complaints online. That is a terrible way to run a business!

On our 3rd model S

We have owned 3 Models S's since 2013 and plan on getting another when they finally refresh the exterior. We have driven the cars on long road trips many times and have put combined over 100k miles without any problems. It is so fast, fun to drive, and has huge interior space. Fits more gear than our Cayenne. It costs about 10$ to go 300miles, and is one of the safest cars you can drive. It could use a better interior but other than that it is the best car ever made. Ignore the 1 star reviews from these morons who have no idea what they are talking about.

Should there be a person to answer questions ....

Tesla offers zero customer support and has designed a dealership where they want no live interaction with their customer. If you have a question, want to schedule service, need a part, be prepared to be shuttled to a web site. I returned the car within the 7 day 1000 mile time period as the gas mileage on the highway was 25% under the 300 miles promised. There is no documentation when you return the car and it is not possible to get someone on the phone to answer a question.

I love cars and spent a long time evaluating between high end cars. So glad I chose the long range model S. The Tesla is so fun to drive, Is comfortable, spacious, the infotainment system is intuitive to use, and it gets better each month with new features. And almost no maintenance!

Horrible Purchasing Experience - Do NOT recommend

UPDATE: I was driving my (brand new) Tesla Model S on the highway. As soon as I got on an off-ramp, I heard a very loud screeching/grinding noise. I pulled over, and there was a large metal piece hanging from the bottom of my car. I eventually brought my car into the shop. They said that there is no evidence that I bottomed-out or hit anything. INSTEAD, I was informed that Tesla failed to properly attach a large piece of steel to the bottom of the car. They said either screws were missing or loose. I've only had this car for a few weeks and this is another ridiculous issue. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The purchasing process was unprofessional and frustrating. Here are some examples of what occurred: (1) A Tesla representative informed me that Tesla matches CarMax appraisals. However, despite having a CarMax appraisal, I was required to provide two more appraisals from CarMax in order for Tesla to match the trade-in value offered by CarMax (resulting in three appraisals total). This resulted in hours of phone calls (with both CarMax and Tesla) in addition to multiple trips to CarMax locations, which forced me to miss a lot of time at work. (2) I asked many questions about Autopilot during the purchasing process. I also received documentation on Autopilot versions and features to make sure I understood what I was purchasing. Despite this, the features I received are subpar and I was expecting to receive many more features. (The version of Autopilot in my Model S is basically a glorified version of cruise control. It defeats the purpose of buying a Tesla.) I am incredibly disappointed in Tesla's practices of periodically repackaging Autopilot features with minimal to no visibility on the buyer's side. The documents I received describing Autopilot are very unclear and the conversations with Tesla representatives did not provide adequate clarity. (3) My Model S arrived with a damaged door. I now have to take more time off work to make an appointment and get it repaired. (4) My spare key does not work. It is unclear if they gave my spare key to the wrong customer. This is very disconcerting and I do not feel comfortable keeping valuables in my own car. (5) When I contacted Tesla representatives about the above issues, I was ignored for multiple days and had to follow-up numerous times with different representatives in order to get an answer. The answer I finally received was along the lines of "Sorry. Make a service appointment through the App." It should not take a week for me to receive a basic answer like that. I also would've expected the Tesla team to be more accommodating considering how difficult this entire experience has been.

So hard to speak to a live individual, if you have a concern with your Tesla vehicle. Charging stations are always busy ever since they released the model 3 wait time is over 20 minutes just to charge. I'm regretting buying my S class Tesla.

Have owned my Tesla Model S LR for 3 years with NO issues. Replaced HEPA filter ($250) after 3 yrs. Front tires after 30,000 (advise rotating every 10,,000. This is the greatest car I can imagine. Have had 4 BMW5 and Genesis sedan, all excellent, but nothing compared to the Tesla. The ride, FSD (full self driving) the accelleration (0-60 in 4 seconds) the tech and monthly upgrades at no cost, and the extremely low operating cost (1/5 price compared to gasoline). NO wasted time at gas stations or oil changes and other maintenance. Plus, I am driving a sustainable vehicle and helping to preserve our earth. What a dream car.

It does not live up to the acclaimed performance

The total mileage is not as high as they advertised. Autopilot mal-functions often. The navigation system is not intelligent. Speed is slow, does not remember history, and is not versatile in searching. And it gives often less desiable routes. In addition, the side mirrors block driver's front view. And the seats are awkward and the seat backs are uncomfortable for necks.

I have owned my Model S P100D for 3.5 years. I just hit 100K miles. I can't imagine owning another car. Its quicker than a Ferrari but, I can drive it every day.
