Too loud on the highway

Car seating, driving, visibility breaking and acceleration is good. But the highway it becomes too loud and one will wonder if there are any windows open. One cannot enjoy music due to this reason. My CX-5 for the same price is way better.

Gets you from point A to B whatever the road conditions (off road capable). Easy to drive, affordable, reliable and safe. AWD standard. Quality Made in Japan. Best value and class leader. Resale value is one of the best. Subaru Crosstrek is truly the Swiss Army Knife of subcompact SUV's.

The people who love driving this car either never go above 50 or always drive with the wind. Wind noise is crazy. Getting above 50 is not an easy task anyways, so I understand if that's the case. The 2.0L is wildly under powered. It's borderline dangerous. The plastic on the dashboard and sits is hollow and cheap feeling. That probably helps amplify road and wind noise. As for the tech. The screen is huge. Which also means the sun hits it at anytime that's not high noon. It's wireless android auto usually works, but when it doesn't connect there's a huge dance to do to get it back. I had a 2014 Outback and wish I had just kept it. The 2014s build quality was substantially better. The best part, my local Subaru dealership also has a Mazda lot right next door. The difference between the two brands is night and day. Plus, they gave me a great deal since they were getting the Crosstrek back.

Getting horrible mileage on my 2024 Crosstrek

My 2024 Crosstrek is getting horrible mileage. I only have 800 miles on it, but I got 21 MPH first tank, 22 MPG 3rd tank, 21.5 on 3rd tank and now on my 4th tank I'm getting about 21 MPG. I was expecting 27-28 combined, but I'm not even getting 25 MPG. What is wrong? This is horrible. I bought these car because it was supposed to get decent mileage and with the price of gas, this is not something I can keep. The dealer tells me it's due to the car being so new, but I find that hard to believe. Is it a lemon? Does an adjustment need to be made? UPDATE, I continue to get terrible mileage. The dealer says nothing is wrong. Best I've done with combined city and freeway is 23 MPG. I now have over 5K miles on the car and I am hoping it will improve, so far it has not.

I drive a 2024 Crosstrek Limited. It was the right purchase. Assembled in Indiana, it is very well put-together. All seams and materials are satisfying. IT is very quiet, rides very smoothly, has good handling and steering. While the interior appointments are not luxury, they are durable and tight. THe big infotainment screen can be a bit laggy, it is easy to master and offers many options. I do regret not having the option of a heated steering wheel (Canadians have that!), but no other regrets. If you want a great little vehicle that you will appreciate in the winter - especially, this is the one!
