I love my Tc
What I like about the Scion Tc is that you can customize it how you want it. It's also a great car to drive, it handles great.
Great package at a great price
I have had my black Scion tC for almost a month now and am very pleased with the purchase. No haggle pricing saved lots of time and trouble. Plentiful horsepower and torque for daily driving and highway passing. Throttle response feels excellent, like drive-by-wire. Smooth auto transmission. The dual- panel panoramic moonroof is very cool and unbelievable in a $17,000 car. Exterior is very stylish, especially the 17" wheels and turn signals on the side mirrors. Excellent fabrics, fit and finish in the interior. Gladly traded in my 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo (after 4 brake jobs and 2 steering rack replacements) for this 100% Japanese- built top-quality vehicle.

Scion Tc Limited Editon 1.0
I picked this car up and I can barely put the keys down before I want to get back into it. This car is really fun to drive and man does it look good. The bright red gets alot of attention so you have to watch your speed. As fas a comfort this car is amazing. The interior is very spacious. My recommedation is that if your going to buy a new car, test drive this one last because your going to take it home.
The Car for Me
Fun car to drive. Sporty, quick, perfect car for the everyday driver. Not too much, nor too little power. Front seats are comfortable, and hold you in place through the winding turns. Rear seats have much more leg room, very suprising. I have a few 6'+ friends who enjoy riding in the back w/me. Interior is very stylish, with a radio cover panel that looks sweet, could use steering wheel controls though. Safety ratings show its a safe car... the side impact air bags would help, though expensive, worth the safety. All of the std and opt features available made this an easy choice for me. So, roll the windows down, open the sunroof, lay on the throttle, and enjoy the ride.
Scion tc
I like the power door, power windows, sunroof, and the cruise control that are standard on every tc. The back seats fold forward so I have plenty of room for cargo. The exterior design is what actually caught my eye when I went looking for a new vehicle. Most of all, it's fun to drive. My husband says it's a sports car, but I call it my toy car.
21,000 and Going Strong
I ordered the Scion TC without a test drive or ever seeing one. The car was delivered with papers ready. The first impression was that the car looked great! Jumped inside and my head was at ceiling level! However, with a few pushes down on the seat height and I was in heaven. I have driven through the Smoky Mountains and the car sticks like glue and I never have to downshift. Plenty of Power! Six months have passed and only complaints, Needs sixth gear to increase the 29mpg that I get to mid thirties. Radio cover squeaks and the radio needs a dial. Love the MP3 playback and I've programmed the radio screen to read "I Love Anita" when it comes on. Love the Dual Sunroof! Great, Great Value!!
How is this so inexpensive?
This car is fun to drive, looks great, safe, affordable, what more could you ask for? The minute I saw it I fell in love and since driving it, I look forward to taking the wheel. I will probably DD more often now.
Great car if yours isn't 'damage' prone
GREAT CAR otherwise, but doesn't seem to do too well in snow. current milage 9k and the power steering broke. the car also shakes violently and when going through dips on the road, the car has great momentum (i get car sick). i'm in the midst of getting this fixed... i think it was due to the snow.
Scion tC
Quick , sporty , Reliable (Toyota Reputation), Clean looking , Well mannored in city and highway speeds , Fit of body panels and lines very good , Easy vehicle to customize to your personal liking , Controls very friendly to use , everything in reach , good fuel economy (expierenced 26mpg on average) . Well built motor , Transmission(auto) shifts smoothly and crisply , Door slam is is sturdy not tinny like most sub compacts , Paint very deep in color and gloss , Seats adjust easily just as steering does .
Middle-Aged Female Owner/Driver
I know that this car is marketed toward a younger crowd, but I really enjoy this car! It's affordable, great looking, rides well, and it's so much fun to drive. This car is a great value for the money, for ANY age group.
Best Value... Hands Down
Can you imagine a Camry in all it's greatness with more features, more power, more style and an anorexic price tag? Turn it into a TRUE sports-coupe and you have the SCION tC. This is, without question, the highest fun-to- value ratio in the modern day of automotion. Drive all you want -- it's a Toyota (excuse me, Scion), it will never break. Faster than a Solara and more leg room in the back seat, this vehicle is engineering at it's best. The Scion tC is tit-mouse quiet but roars when provoked. Trade in what ever you drive now while it still has any value and do the smart thing; Flint Mica... stick shift -- You won't be sorry. Let all Toyota's children say Amen... and Amen!!
i love this car..
i love this car... and how can you go wrong with a toyota. i have been waiting to get this car for a while and i love that i am one of the few owners that i know who own a scion. everyone asks, what kind of car is that.? and i tell them and they have never heard of it.. i like being different and having a car that i never see on the road. i love the whole line up of scions, but the tc is the best looking of the three. i would reccomend to any one to test drive this car and they are gauranteed to love it. its very smooth and quick.. toyota has done it again..and you cant beat the price unless you drive a kia... no thanks. i love my scion tc and i will stick with toyota forever.
At least it looks sporty...
Ok, here goes. I've had this car for 3 years. I live in the southwest and it gets' hot. The air in this car doesn't get cold, I guess it's too much Glass to effectively cool also my sun-visor broke 3 months ago. I agree the skin is too weak to absorb any impact. You will find within weeks that the acres of smooth well fitted sheet metal are too much temptation for rude parking neighbors to resist. I have so many dents and dings I lost count, and I park far away from the doors! The engine is good for the price. But it's def not a sports car. Then handling is "so, so". Biggest complaint is Toyota's "debilitating" maintenance schedule. Unless your name is Rockefeller don't plan on keeping up.
Great
This car is so much fun to drive! It looks great and makes you feel great!. What a brilliant idea from toyota to market this to the younger crowd-its a toyota but scion sounds so much more cool. Plus, very affordable.
I love it
For the price of the car and the standard features that it comes with, it just seems too good to be true. I would have expected to pay more. I also love the no haggel, no hassel, policy. You shouldn't feel like you've been raped when buying a car.
Scion BabyBoomer!!
This car was marketed for the young kids but I'm a babyboomer who was getting frustrated finding a hot coupe for under 20K. Then my son told me a 5 letter word.."SCION" and my prayers were answered. The interior cabin is so comfortable it belies it's sport coupe look. Good power combined with an easy to use manual transmission with a short throw makes driving FUN!!! And with lots of experience with a stick you can leave the "youngsters" in your dust!! After more than 5 mts, I still enjoy all the comments about how hot my black cherry pearl Scion is. So all you babyboomers out there who are saving for retirement but still want a fun car to drive, try SCION tC & you won't be disappointed!
Great value but needs some tweaking
Was having my 1985 toyota corolla SR5 serviced at 180k and saw the silver tc. Love at first sight. Purchased immediately with all the bells and whistles. A beautiful little jewel, quick as mercury and has got 'the' look. People are still trying to figure out what make/model it is. Had passerby's ask if it was European. Ha! It's a Toyota, baby...eat my dust.
Best Value
Started looking for a good gas mileage car (I drive 23k a year) but decided on the Scion. Looked at Elanta (didn't like dash) Corolla S (small hard plastic armrest and dash seem old fashioned) and Mazda 3 (too high price). While at Toyota dealership test drove the tC and couldn't resist getting it. It just ran great and had such a solid/quality feel to it. What I really liked was there were no options I had to buy. It already had 4wheel disc brakes, ABS, sunroof, cruise control and alloy wheels. Got 27mpg with first tank and 29 with second one. Overall, you just can't beat the value and quality and to me it was worth the extra $7 a week for gas.
I love my Scion
Scion tC's are awesome! I just bought mine less then a week ago and i already put over 500 miles on it. It's just so much fun to drive and everyone i've showed it too love it. It's a beautiful car. When anyone i know sees it, they say "that car is so you"
Most Unreliable New Car I've Owned
It took around 7 weeks to get this car not the week Toyota had as a target. The car was fine until the cold weather set in. The hatch latch refused to latch in sub 20 degree temperatures. It took two trips to the dealer to get this fixed. I had to drive 70 miles on the expressway with an open hatch because the dealer didn't believe me the first time. The other day my wife was stranded at work 35 miles from home due to a dead battery. She was able to jump start it and get to the dealer. The alternator failed at 11,000 miles.I've never owned a car with this many electrical problems in my life.I was looking for an inexpensive, relable, sportycar for my wife.I sure didn't get it in the tC.
How can they do this
I still can't figure out how you can get all of this car for around 17,000. It has the look and feel of a luxury car with power everything. The panorama moonroof is a great feature. I've read some complaints about road noise and/or engine noise at higher speeds, and maybe I'm just used to the sounds of my old Saturn, but this car seems extremely quiet to me. I made it a point to drive with the radio off to see if I could pick up any noise. Nothing. I cannot stress how much I recommend this car
Best Car in It's Class!
I love my new scion tC. Be sure to honk and wave at fellow owners. The only negative thing I can think of to say about this car is that when you drive into a steep parking lot, you often hear a "popping" sound around the sunroof area (no doubt a result of a shifting frame). However, since the entire top is made of glass and not steel, it is not surprising.
Small Hatchback with a Peppy Attitude
The Scion tC is so much fun to drive and I get very good gas mileage with it. It gets me from point A to point B with style, speed, and great gas mileage. I love it more than any other car I've had so far.
My First New Car
Has a look that attracts attention...take into consideration what cars are in the same price class and this most likely be your choice. I had planned to get mine with all the options and did just the opposite...my car has nothing added and it is fantastic...
Fun Coupe for an Awesome Price
For only slightly more money than a Dodge Neon or a Chevy Cobalt (non SC) the performance that you get from the Scion tC is excellent. It rides smoothly and corners tightly. It is fuel efficient and I havn't had one problem with it in over 20,000 miles so far. I knew the engine would be no problem because it is taken right from the Toyota Camry. This car has rock solid performance and is affordable!
tC gets lots of looks
Well worth the six weeks I waited to get my tC. Parked along a curb on a Saturday night by a club in front of a new Benz SL 500. I saw no less than ten people stop and stare at the tC. They also looked at the logo to try and figure out what it was. Mine is Black with tinted windows and looks great. It swallows all of my music equipment, amps, guitars, keyboards, etc. with the back seats folded down. Drives like it is on rails. LOVE IT.
It could be better
The storage room in this car is great. I had four 16" wheels and tires from my truck in the back once - no problem! Love the reclining back seat. The front seats have good support, but the leg room in the front is cramped. The stereo sounds best when it is turned up loud. The power is amazing for a car of this type and it is fun to drive.
I LOVE IT
I do have to say, this is the best car I have ever purchased. I looked at about 7-8 other cars of similar price and I have to say I don't think I could have made a better decision. It rides so nice, and has all the features that I was looking for. It is worth the wait if you have to order one.
I like it alot but...
my review about my scion tc is... My thougts on the scion tc are very skattered. If i could have control of the car i would first off put more horsepower. This car needs to have at least 220-230 horsepower, it would attract more people, because people love speed. Affordable is another thing even if the car comes out with 230 horsepower and its now $18,000-$19,000 (starting) its worth it. So my review of the car is basicly all i need is horsepower everything else about the car i like alot but always end up bein left behind the crowd in traffic.....
my car
Have one and love it!!!!!!
tips review
this is a phat car. i think toyota should of made this car a long time ago. thank you
Thunder
this car is awesome.. but it needs better interior functions... (A/C controls looks lame)... they need to have a convertable version of tC. and more horse-power/ torch-power... the exterior looks good except the back lights... thats all for NOW!!
Scion tC, if your taller than 5' 5"
If your taller than 5' 5", this car is probably not for you. I'm 5' 10" tall and I have had the seats in every position. There is no position that I am comfortable in. The steering wheel is too far forward for the average height of a man. When the steering wheel is in a comfortable position my legs are in the birthing position and very cramped. When my legs are comfortable, my arms are fully extended. Don't even think about being able to recline the driver's seat, you'll never reach the steering wheel. Toyota needs to take men who are taller than 5' 5" into consideration when designing vehicles. Otherwise the car is excellent in all other aspects, but the lack of comfort ruins the whole car for me.
Good For the money
Im 17 years old and my mom just bought me this car. The car is very good in all of its aspects, it can go fast, beleive me, handles well and love the way you can modify it at the dealership. The car audio system is some what overrated because they are hyping it up because of its pioneer sound but the bass isnt realy there so dont expect the best sound in the world but it is good. The car suits me very well and have had no problems with it so i would recomend it for people.
tC lover
Usually, when you anticipate something this good, the hype can sometimes overtake what it really turns out to be. NOT FOR THIS CAR! I've been drooling over this car since December of 2003 and I'd have to say, it was worth the wait. There aren't enough words to describe the thrill of driving one of these bad boys. The options are endless when it comes to tuning, but the basic model itself is loaded!
Amazing !!
This is my first brand new car and it is awesome. The standard features are not what most companies would consider standrad. As I've driven my car I've noticed all the little things that make this car so cool. All you need to do is shift into a different gear, step on the gas, and you will know that this car has power! I couldn't be happier. And the "pure pricing" that Scion uses makes getting your Scion they way you want it very easy.
Great Car!
There is no better deal out there. For all of the standard features you get and the power, this car should cost $20,000. The standard transmission is tons of fun and sporty. It has lots of power and a sporty feel when driving while maintaining a comfortable drive. I don't know how Scion is making any money on these with all of the bells and toys that they have in there.
Geat Car
I bought this car new in 2004 and still think it's great! I have taken six trips to Tennessee in it 540 miles one way and always get 30 miles per gallon doing 75-80 mph. I have yet to drive it in the winter though. I really like the looks of the car, the only complaint, is that when I first drive it sometimes the sunroof rattles, oh and I traded my new Honda Civic EX for it, now that was a really slow car. You can't get a better car for the money than the TC.
Toyota meets Acura
Finally, Toyota has something to beat the RSX Type S. Only now it's $4000 cheaper.
FANTASTIC
I just bought this car last week and I just cant stop driving it. You just cant beat the car for the price. 5- speed, dual sun roofs, killer looks, this car is AMAZING!
nice car
this is a very nice car it is one of the most fun to drive cars i have every driven. the sound system is outstanding and the duel moon roofs are very inovative.
blue streak tc
the car has alot of good handling and has a nice takeoff without having any Performance parts. I think the interior is alright but the seats could be a little better.
I love my Scion Tc
This vehicle is awesome! The look, the drive, the feel- everything is great. The design is nearly flawless and I have had absolutely NO problems with it. I would definately recommend this car!
Worth It
Good value for the money. Reliable, stylish, and good fuel economy.
Scion Is Superb
Scion TC is superb. Handles great, drives nice and looks awesome.I have a flint mica TC with extra air bags added...that's all! Only $17,400. I use it to go to work and around town. I tried for a month to find a better car for the money and could not find one. Acura...no, Volvo...no, Audi...no, VW...yeah right. I even looked at Mercedes but decided to save the cash and put it in my daughters' college fund. Scion supposedly markets to generation Y. Silly Scion... Believe me, this car is not just for kids.(I am 38). If you want a fancy car buy a mercedes, but be prepared to spend a lot more. The only drawback is once word gets out, expect these cars to be everywhere.
Best Investment yet.
I've had this car for a month now and I still can't believe the quality and features that went into this car. The engine has plenty of power and the suspension is terrific as long as your not trying to go canyon carving. All in all an ecxellent car at a great price!!
Very Fun Car
Fun, be careful with it's expensive tires. They are costly to replace. Around $200 a piece. Other than that, a great car.
Great Car!!
Bought my Scion about 6 months ago. It's been the best decision I could've ever made. The only thing that was a concern was the 50,000 miles already put on the engine. With the miles already on engine, it runs great with its powerful 2.4 engine but wouldn't hurt to go a little faster. The car looks great stock! Bought mine slammed about 5 inches off the ground and takes corners like a champ! Great on gas, especially when I drive from PHX to LA about every month. AC comes in handy with the 120 degree weather in the AZ.
so far so good
Great car, best investment i have made in a automobile in years. This car costs less than half of what i normally pay for a car & it is twice the fun. So far the build quality is typical toyota which is fine with me. The standard features in this car can not be touched in this price class. I hope the long term experience with this car is just as enjoyable as the short term[350 miles].
Great Car!
As soon as I walked on the lot and saw this car, I knew I wanted it. When I sat in it to test drive, it just felt right, and it goes wonderfully! Mine is a 5-speed, and it handles turns great, has a lot of power, comfortable, great design, it's all I've ever wanted in a car for this price.
