CVT makes hazardous conditions.
Finally arrived here trying to find a solution to my Rogue's power loss issue. All over the internet, it's the same thing... a cap to the CVT's operating temperature that causes the transmission to shut off/ lose power at normal operating temperatures. No recall? Is Nissan waiting for someone to die before they fix this? I was traveling on a fast moving highway in the SF Bay Area and a relatively low hill when my power cut out. I was in lane 2 and lost so much power that it became unsafe for me to even move over to a slower lane. When I finally did, a semi truck laid into their horn because my slow speed was causing them to lose THEIR momentum up the climb. Initially, I only noticed this failure when outside temperature was reaching 90 or higher. I now can no longer drive for more than 30 minutes before the car and I become a road hazard. I will never buy a Nissan again and will share this experience to anyone and every one I know that looks into buying Nissan. Insane.

Good Choice!
Needed to buy a 4cylinder (sigh) as gas prices are SKY HIGH in Hawaii. So glad I chose the Rogue SL. It handles like a sedan except it's higher above the road - like an SUV. Turning radius is fantastic. Gas mileage is good and it really is FUN to drive! Bose system w/6 CD changer is a winner.
Wow!
Looked at numerous vehicles for a year, hands down the best, sporty yet stable handling, carlike smooth ride, seats fit me perfectly, very comfortable leather, good thigh support, head room just enough, am 6 feet tall, bountiful leg room, actually have seat forward with plenty of leg room in rear. Went shopping and had plenty of cargo room. Dash very smart, simple and sporty, all gauges easily readable, acceleration more than ample, car feels like going slow at 65 mph, tried paddle shifters, fun but not necessary, grey with grey interior, beautiful and classy, wife so happy with car, never saw her like this with a new car, she loves the look, the feel, the comfort. Nissan has a winner here.
WORST CAR EVER!
I hate this car so much, I would give anything for someone to crash into me and total it. I have invested so much money in fixing this car it's disgusting and after you fix one thing, the other thing breaks. I bought it used with new tires and breaks and it was a very handsome car. Since owning it I have had numerous issues with the tires, I have had the drive shaft blow out on me, leaving me stranded in the middle of a city where I was alone and far away from home, breaking system problems, sensor problems, drive quality issues, heat shield issues and the windshield cracks like it's no one's business. I am counting the days till it's gone! I drive it in constant fear of it breaking down.
We Love It
Haven't used the shift paddles yet. Blind spots. road noise, wind whistling re cross wind. 32 mpg hwy with a/c heater off. Same brakes at 89,000 km but lot of hwy driving but reconditioned for $400.. Low tire indicator on and off. Love the bluetooth, miss a GPS, Rear door plastic hand grab keeps falling out. On the small size though.
