Used 2020 Nissan Pathfinder Consumer Reviews
Great Family Vehicle
My wife and I needed a new family vehicle that could tow a boat but get great gas mileage. This was definitely the vehicle for us. It has a great towing rating and can pull our pontoon but. For everyday city driving we are getting around 19-20 mpg. Obviously when we tow the boat the mileage drops. Overall a great family vehicle.

CRASH TESTED
Got good gas mileage averaging around 24 MPG. Loved the bells and whistles that came with it. Quiet ride. Above all we were involved in an accident at 55 MPH and totaled the vehicle. We emerged totally unscathed. The entire front end of the car was mangled and the people who witnessed the accident were amazed we were not hurt one bit. Something to think about when purchasing a vehicle is your own safety and your families should you be in an accident.

Surprised by the SUV - So far so good
Update 8/19/25 - No new repairs needed. Did have the Transmission fluid changed again as well as the differentials and transfer case. Continue to change the oil every 4,500 to 5,000 miles. Now has just over 78,000 miles, interior looks like brand new still. Enjoy driving and gas mileage is still great for this size vehicle with a V6. Update 8/13/24 - No additional repairs needed. Everything is still working as desired. nearly 68,000 miles. Looks like new inside and out. Still enjoy driving!!! Update 2/11/24 - The Pathfinder is still great. Interior shows no signs of wear - nearly 62,000 miles. Did have to repair the adaptive cruise control and both front window motors/regulators. But, it runs awesome. No other issues!!! The repairs were disappointing but again, still like how it runs and drives. Update - 8/10/23 - The Pathfinder is still a great SUV. MPG is still awesome - the CVT has not shown any issues. I did have the fluid changed and will continue to do so every 25,000 miles, so hopefully that will help make it last longer!!! Otherwise, we have over 55,000 miles and the interior is not showing any wear or tear at all. I do still wish that Nissan made a software update for the infotainment system so it would work with Apple CarPlay. Purchased the SUV in July of 2022, finding used SUV's was still a challenge due to COVID. This was previously a Rental vehicle from Nevada. First Nissan that I have owned. It comes well equipment. Drives really nice. The tech in the SUV is old, does not have ApplePlay or Android Auto. The whole thing is overly busy. Once, you get used to it, it's not terrible but still is an overall negative. Another small but difficult thing is the lock and unlock buttons for the doors are very small. The gas mileage is amazing for such a large SUV. The seats are very supportive and look as if they will last a long time.

OK - not great
Went back and forth whether to take the last year of a Pathfinder or Murano or a first year of the new 2022 Pathfinder model. Wish I had NOT taken this 2020. After just 40,000 miles it needs a new AC compressor (not covered) and 4 new tires - I used to get 80-90,000 miles on tires. Now that I have driven the 2020 Pathfinder for about 40,000 miles so far I do love the power of the engine, the traction and utility. Yes the electronics are a little outdated but overall its fine. Do I envy the owners of the new model Pathfinder? Yes. Another issue with Nissan - why does the power passenger seat sit so low and only offer a 4 way power option on any of the models?

This car was a GREAT Value. Enough bells and whistles but not pricy.
