AIRBAG ISSUES!!
I had my new Murano Platinum for barely a month. 4/23/24 purchase date. On 5/29/24, a car stopped quick infront of me and my Murano wouldn't stop. No alert of vehicle ahead of me, tried to slam on my breaks for the first time and they didn't work. Was only going 20mph!! Crashed into old truck ahead of me that was stopped and it totaled my WHOLE front end and NONE of my airbags went off!!!! Firefighters, the police officer and the tow man saw my airbag sensor wasn't even connected!!! I have Geico, they just confirmed today- 6/5/24, everything I have just said. They said if I was on the highway going 65mph or higher with no airbags connected, I would be dead right now. And thankfully my two young children were not in the Murano with me. We'd all be dead.

ALMOST MEETD MY NEEDS
Plenty of power, but design has some issues. The steering controls, too much going on, with no common sense built-in. Why are all the options on the front of the wheel. The time you spend looking for the phone, cruise control, volume, you could get in an accident. The writing is in a 2 font, and the buttons are so small, you might hit the wrong ones. There is plenty of room on the back of the wheel for the volume, and tuner. The 365 camera system is a fantastic idea, but with the small viewing area, the side iof the car view while backing out or pulling in is too limited to see clearly, and i a foot away, or less than an inch, and going to hit. with all the great tech, but no dash or backup camera black box, with all this tech, the option to plug in a thumb drive and record events is needed. Even a ring doorbell saves to my phone when there's motion. A lockable or concealed storage draw for cash, wallet, keys, is needed. This SUV has very limited storage, and most of it is in the main center storage compartment. Trust me, what your looking for is under everything. USB issues, all i had so far..

This replaced our Pathfinder!
I fully intended on buying a 2023 Pathfinder to replace our 2015 Pathfinder SL. I took the Pathfinder for a drive and was just not impressed with the new transmission and the overall ride. About a month prior I was given a Murano SL as a rental and was quite surprised at how much I liked the ride, looks and interior. The dealership I was at had a 2023 Murano Midnight Edition with 22 thousand kilometers on it, so after the Pathfinder test drive, I took it for a drive and my wife and I both agreed quickly that this car was going to be our daily driver while our old Pathfinder becomes a second vehicle. She drives it more than I do and has commented a couple of times how much she likes it. It has the same engine and transmission as the Pathfinder (which we never had ANY trouble with at all in 260,000 km's of driving) and it's about 600 pounds lighter. This gives the Murano the pick up and agility that the PF could never achieve. The interior is beautiful and the Midnight package looks great with the black exterior. I really like this car!

Comfort, Style, and Power - OH MY!
I've reached the point in my life where I wanted more luxury in my driving experience, but didn't want to give up function or power. I researched for a year before deciding on the Nissan Murano Platinum. I found a used 2023 with only 16,000 miles and went for a test drive. I was on the road less than 20 minutes and I was HOOKED! For starters, I have to give 2 big thumbs up to the comfort and roominess of the front seat. The driver lumbar support makes for a supportive and appealing ride. I just had my first long road trip in it and I made it to my destination (with no small assistance from the clear and concise navigation feature) and jumped from the vehicle as refreshed as when I first began the trip! The memory seat is a great feature, if there's anyone else who may be occasionally borrowing your car (but at this point, she's mine, all mine!!). The handling is firm and responsive, hugging the curves at higher speeds, and with plenty of pick up for harrowing weekend interstate driving. I've seen other reviews ding the Murano for reduced visibility from the back window. That hasn't been an issue for me, thus far. The backing camera feature more than compensates, should it ever become one. The back seat is ample. The cargo space may be a little tight, and I can see where that might concern some, but given the overall picture, it's a small sacrifice, especially if you don't expect to use it for much more than grocery shopping. Towing capacity is another issue i've seen some reviewers tsk-tsk over. Again, not something I foresee ever being high on my list of needs, so a non-factor. If I could change anything about the interior, I'd opt for a bigger media screen, but given the overall quality of the features Bose sound, power/memory/heated/air conditioned seats, navigation, etc... not a deal-breaker, at all. OH! And there was one minor, seemingly insignificant feature I was searching for that the Murano provides - a CD player!! Yes, I know, outdated and unnecessary, especially given the advent of streaming and Bluetooth connectivity. I'm big on Spotify and Pandora, but I've got CDs that I have held on to, waiting for a time such as this! Nice nod to the old school, Nissan! Besides the comfort and luxurious interior, the outer look has smooth lines, a wonderful matte finish (I went with the pale grey), and looks far more expensive than what I found to be a very reasonable price range. I gave up gas mileage when I got the Murano, but I havent found it to be too big of a shock to the pocketbook. The 19 gallon gas tank, once full, will hold out fairly well for daily commutes, providing you're not doing an inordinate amount of driving. In summation, forget the nay-sayers. This car makes driving fun! And if you must drive, shouldn't you enjoy the ride?

Good running car
Less than 10,000 miles I had to replace the strut on the front cannot use the cruise control due to the fact if you set it at 70 and start down any incline you will be doing 90 before you even know it dealer said this is normal and every now and then the radio will stop working and you have to reset it. This is a 22 Nissan Marano.
