In total honesty, I upgraded to a 2018 Nissan Murano SL from a 2004 Toyota Corolla. That's a big jump in terms of size and style. While the 2004 Corolla I owned had fantastic quality, I'm equally impressed with the quality thus far of my Murano. In addition, the ride is smooth, road noise is minimal, and the interior styling and comfort is second to none. It's one of the most comfortable cars I've ever ridden in actually. We got the cashmere leather interior that looks just phenomenal. And for its size, the fuel economy is really not bad at all. Acceleration onto the highway is good and it holds the road well. The steering wheel is not overly sensitive. While the car comes equipped with Bose speakers, and the overall entertainment system package is good, I wouldn't say that it's better than that found on other vehicles in the same class. All in all we're very happy with the car and plan on driving it for many many years to come.

Before You Look At Those "Luxury Badge" SUV's ...

2018 Nissan Murano Platinum 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

... check this one out. Believe me, I drove them all, irrespective of price (save for those over $60k), and kept coming back to the Murano Platinum. There's virtually no bell or whistle that isn't included. The interior is plush, the seats incredibly comfortable, and technology is state-of-the-art, including the latest safety features. Driving it is a pleasure, with a responsive V6 that runs on regular gas. It's very quiet, and seems to glide down the road, thanks to the CVT transmission. I'm averaging around 25 mpg overall ... not bad for a vehicle its size and weight. Granted, the cargo and towing capacities aren't the best in class, but I didn't buy it to schlep or tow anything. The Platinum trim level stickers at around $43k plus T,T&T, but the recent rebates (which totaled around $6000), and a bit of negotiation brought the drive-out price under $40k. Dollar for dollar, there's nothing quite like the Murano on the road.

My Murano Rocks!

I researched a lot of SUV's before deciding on the Murano. The thing that grabbed my attention the most was the stylish look of the car. Its very Sexy looking and the only other SUV that looks close to it is the Lexus RX, in which I hate the front grill on that car. Everything about the Murano looks stylish and works for me. The panoramic sun roof is awesome , the ride is smooth and the CVT trans is even smoother. Lots of room in the back and trunk space. I bought the Platinum with all the bells and whistles. I feel I chose the right SUV for me. No regrets!

We've gone through a number of vehicles due to needs and demands. Still have the Odyssey we bought when the kids were playing travel hockey and currently has 170K trouble free miles, and we had a 10 Rogue SL and a 14 Rogue SL AWD fully loaded, both reliable "nice" vehicles, but the Murano is a whole new level of luxury. Ours currently has about 50K absolutely trouble free miles on it. Extremely comfortable seats, very quiet and smooth. Our daughter goes to college 17 1/2 hrs from home and the Murano makes the trip enjoyable. Love the 360 degree cameras on parking lots though the active cruise doesn't get as close to the car in front before slowing down as I'd prefer. Only during blizzard conditions or torrential downpours does the front sensor kick out and I can't use the cruise control. We generally trade every 2-4 yrs, this one is a keeper for the long haul, and my wife gets 30-31 mpg on the highway. I usually get 28 mpg, but I generally run well above the speed limit. We love the looks of the Infiniti's, but can't justify the price for the same basic vehicle. Love this SUV. Now approaching 50K miles and still runs and looks new. Solid quality. Now up to 57K and just got back from a trip to Canada, performed flawlessly and still not a single issue. 5 yrs in now and my wife will not part with this one. Still flawless and looks showroom fresh. We'll have this one well into the future. Not anything to add really, still flawless. Dependable and decent gas mileage, still very smooth and quiet.... a little to smooth and quiet, wife caught me doing 92mph, but flying past a vehicle in the right lane gave it away, not the Murano.

Caught off guard with the Murano!!!!

For anyone who has back problems, arthritis and such things, this car is extremely comfortable to get in and out of. Ride is the feel of a luxury car, not SUV feel. I was totally caught off guard when I sat in and drove this Murano Platinum. I wanted a Honda Pilot but it was too high for me (I am 5'9" previous back surgery, need another and severe arthritis). So I had intended on buying a Honda CRV. That was until I read reviews, watched videos of reviews, saw, sat and drove the Nissan Murano Platinum. I couldn't be happier!!!
