Best Mid-Size SUV on the Market!!!
I own a 2018 Nissan Murano Midnight Edition. This edition has all the options available but I did not want the moon-roof option. (Didn't care for it). Once you shut the door and sit in the drivers seat, you are shut off from the outside. It is extremely quiet inside the suv and drive noise is very minimal. First thing you will notice is the quality of the interior which Nissan put soft leather on everything. It adds a level of luxury that you see in high end suv's. I did test drive a Lexus RX and enjoyed the drive but ABSOLUTELY DISLIKED the interior setup. I loved how Nissan set up the interior electronics compared to the Lexus RX. It's ease of use and navigation of your buttons is perfect! I commend Nissan for this user friendly way of control. (Lexus, gives you a mouse to use for navigating your display) Yes you heard me correct!!! LOL. Not to mention the Murano's Exterior design is superior and has a look of moving when standing still! The drive is also very responsive with 260 HP and 0-60 in 7 ish seconds. I have the AWD version and I will never go back to rear or front wheel drive only. Fantastic handling in snow and raining/muddy conditions with 21/28 city/highway mpg. I also enjoy the 11 bose speaker sound system and the sound in the vehicle is great if you are listening to high treble type music, but if you enjoy low bass type of music it misses the mark a bit. In addition, I am particular over the headlights in any car and purchased very bright LED (Low-Beams) so I can see the road better. Overall, I absolutely love my Murano with the options Nissan provides at a very affordable cost!

Best Car I've ever owned
Granted, I've only had it one month but it's already my favorite. I have the SL with panoramic sunroof. Pluses include a unique (dare I say sexy?) exterior, incredible interior - plush and stylish with excellent and very comfy seats, above avg MPG for a V6 SUV, good acceleration, an amazing all-around view camera system, built in navigation, tons of electronics, and a good safety suite. I especially like the blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control. It also has plus handling for this sized vehicle. The not so good? A Bose sound system with 11 speakers and 2 subwoofers? Ya whatever. My last vehicle with a "standard" audio system was far better. I don't get how it can't be better than it is, but it's a very average sound system. The sound system needs a lot of work. I'd like to have more storage when the back seats are up, but hey we can't have it all. I'd also like to see some hidden storage underneath the rear floor. And it's definitely not a towing vehicle. If you have a large boat or trailer, look elsewhere. This is a car in SUV clothing. Lastly, my Murano always feels like the wheels are out of balance. I took it back to the dealer after one week of owning it - they re-balanced the wheels which made a slight improvement but I get more vibration at highway speed than I'd expect in a brand new vehicle. At this point, I feel like it's the tires. They are Michelin's which is a good brand but it's really the only thing I can think of. My last vehicle (a sedan) had Michelin's and it rode like a dream but it could be these are the very low end of their line. None of the above complaints deter me from highly recommending this vehicle! If you want a very classy, upscale near luxury SUV at a bargain price compared to Lexus or Caddy - look no further! ** 2 year update. My Murano is still going strong. Actually it's better. The vibration I described worked itself out. I re-tuned the stereo and it's actually a pretty good sound system. I think SUV's have some limitations but all in all, this is a nice, well-balanced sound system. It sounds best at higher volumes. I've not had a single issue with the car after two years and I love it even more now than I did then. Great vehicle and I'll keep it for a long time to come! ** 2.5 year update: Still love my Murano! No mechanical or other issues of any kind. Routine maintenance only. Yes, there are certain limitations as noted such as lack of towing ability. Only slight disappointment is that I don't get the MPG that is advertised, but it's not horrible either and all in all - I continue to love my Murano and can highly recommend it! 3 Year update - Still love my Murano. No major changes to my overall recommendation. I did just have to change out brake pads in the summer of 2021 on the rear brakes at 30,000 miles which is ridiculous imo. Other than that minor quibble, everything else still works great. Minimal issues overall - zero mechanical problems and runs great. Comfy as ever and looking forward to many more miles ahead. 4 year update: Paid my Murano off own this beauty free and clear, and still loving it. No mechanical issues to speak off. Minor quibbles are gas mileage is slightly disappointing, and there is a lack of storage space in the front of the cabin. That said, there is so much to like about this car - most of which has already been posted so won't go over again. I plan to keep this beauty for many more miles. Still highly recommend! 6 year update: Still as strong as ever. Still love it. Zero plans to sell or trade this beauty in. Two small dings (understanding it's now 6 years old) It has developed a minor tear in the leather on the driver's seat. And the front headlight lenses are getting cloudy. I'll look into remedies for both. Zero mechanical issues, runs like a top, and outside of a rear brake job, I've only ever done oil/filter changes for the life of the vehicle. I'm sure that will change at some point, but great car. No regrets whatsoever! 6.5 year update: No changes. All is well. Car runs like a top. Enjoying no payment and no breakdowns or other significant concerns. She's aging very gracefully. No plans to sell.

My wife is ecstatic!
My wife said it was getting harder & harder to steer her 2011 Lincoln MKX (due to shoulder injury), which replaced a 2007 Lexus RX350. We test drove a Murano & it had effortless steering. It has better styling than the RX (IMO). The current Lexus styling looks too angular and the front end looks like a "cow catcher" on a Transformer or Gobot. The Murano is WAY less in price and the Platinum model has everything but a microwave! It handles like a sports car, has very comfortable seats, great driver assist features, intelligent cruise control, etc. etc. Better mileage than either the RX or the MKX, albeit at 260 hp vs 308 for the MKX and 275 for the RX. The voice recognition actually works (didn't on the RX) and there's no "mouse" for navigating the main menu. There are knobs & buttons instead of "sliders" for climate and volume control. My only concern is the CVT, which shifts smoothly and has a "manual" mode for downshifting on hills, etc, but with proper maintenance should be ok. I wouldn't tow anything, but there is a package for that. Stock wheels look like the blade from a Skil saw, but there's a factory option for 20" polished alloys, as well as aftermarket. We had rented a Murano on a vacation last year & I was impressed with it. Another great thing is that my wife's Murano was built in Ohio 🇺🇸. I'm so impressed with her car I have decided to offload my 2014 MKX and my own Murano! Love this vehicle! EDIT 9/5/19: The only gripe my wife has now is that the seats aren't quite as comfortable as her last two cars. To me, they're supportive and comfortable, but kind of firm, so I get her point. No, they're not your "living room sofa" plush, but they're not plywood either. Update 9/6/20: I still love my Murano. Mine's an AWD with the chrome wheels. My wife is still unhappy with the comfort of the seats in her vehicle. TBH, she doesn't drive much anymore due to a shoulder injury suffered a year ago. The main, pesky nag about both these vehicles is that they never had the "new car smell" I've come to expect with all new cars. The interior has always smelled like a cross between burnt tacos & B.O.😱 What I do to minimize it is turn the AC off before exiting the vehicle, use "odor ban"-type products, etc. We both have very low mileage and have read where they coat the CVT with something that must "burn off" over time, or there's a dead rodent in the AC ducting. I don't know, but I'm dealing with it. Have had only a "front radar sensor obstructed" on both vehicles, intermittently. Other than that, two 👍🏻👍🏻

Near Luxury 2 row crossover
My second Murano and even better than the last one I had for 9 years with no major problems. The interior is very comfortable and functional. The Apple Carplay works perfectly, but it is very particular about the USB cable you use. It MUST be a made for Apple cable and it must have snug USB connection. I had a genuine Apple cable that would not work because it did not seat snugly. The ride is very nice, although a little less sporty than the Gen 2 Murano. The blind spot detection and adaptive cruise control work great. I am averaging 23.5 mpg in mixed driving, which is pretty good for a solid 6 cylinder. The Bose stereo is just ok sound wise. Everything works fine, just not a high end system if you want to play at higher volumes. Overall this is a very nice vehicle and seat 4 adults very comfortably for long trips.
What an impression for my 1st SUV
I've owned sedans my entire life but with a recent purchase of a home I started feeling I needed to get a truck or SUV to assist in the maintenance of the home. My trade was a Camry XSE V6 that I really loved. I found the Murano SL with panoramic sunroof had all the features I wanted at a very attractive price (I would have paid about the same for 2018 maxima or camry) Once I saw the vehicle and sat in it I was really surprised. It didn't drive like some big clunky truck but more like a really high end caddy. Everything was very smooth, acceleration, road noise, and this SUV ate up bumps and imperfections on the road like they didn't exist. I absolutely love the 11 speaker 2 subwoofer Bose system. with that system you wouldn't hear any road noise anyway. The cabin was amazing, I got the cashmere Leather interior and all leather surfaces were covered with a rich light beige leather that was very soft to the touch. The wood grain almost resembled a marble type appearance and was reminiscent or a modern grey/white kitchen. It looks really high end (even nicer than you see in most luxury brand SUV's. for a price barely over 30K this SUV was loaded to the hilt with every possible technology feature, cross traffic, auto cruise control, heated seats, mirrors, steering wheel (although not much demand for that in FL). After a couple hundred miles I already don't know how I lived without the 360 camera with motion sensors. It makes parking a vehicle much larger than any sedan I owned extremely easy. The cabin and seats are among the most comfortable I have ever sat in, the seats have great reviews which are well deserved. the back seats even recline (which may be common for SUV but I've never seen it). I'm still learning the voice commands, android auto, and I haven't played much with the navigator yet but I imagine I'll really enjoy using all the extra technology this vehicle has to offer. Anyway instead of missing my Camry I'm enjoying my new found passion for SUV's. Good Show Nissan!
