Back Relief and More
I bought this vehicle mainly due to my having lower back problems and the remedy of sitting in a higher position as compared to a sedan. Disappointing, since I had been contemplating entry-level luxury sedans (e.g, 2007 Infiniti G35X and Acura TL) and felt that I was compromising with this purchase. Boy was I wrong! What a pleasant surprise to find such an incredible all-around vehicle. This is the first Nissan I've owned and suspect it won't be the last (fingers crossed).
Decent Vehicle, wouldn’t buy again
The Murano was my mom’s before it was mine and she always took good care of it. I’ve had it for the last 6 years and I’ve never had a single issue until about last year. I had regular maintenance of the vehicle. The rear subframe was rusting away. I eventually got a new piece in. Cost $1400 for the part and the labor. Only major issue I’ve ever had and I refuse to deal with it again. Otherwise a decent car. Nissan really dropped the ball on the rotting subframe. Important to note I live in an area where snow and salt are common during the winter months so that was a contributor for sure.

Best choice in the same class
Own the car for 2.5 years now. Everything works well. Not a single problem. Engine runs well, has enough power for all situation. CVT transmission is smooth. Really happy.
It's a Nissan
I traded in my 2006 BMW 325i. I needed a bigger car for my family and was impressed with the features that came with this car. Love the interior, love the Bose system included with the Murano. I was not too impressed with the handeling. I guess I was use to the Ultimate Driving Machine(BMW). Needless to say it handled good on the freeway. The passanger compartment is spacious and comfortable.
Great Car, OK price
I get just over 20 mpg which I think is very good for this size car. I have had no problems with it through 32K miles. I got in one accident with it (I was rear ended at highway speeds), and it was very sturdy. I barely felt the impact. So for safety, this car gets an A+ in my book. The acceleration is fairly good for this segment. It feels lighter than it is when accelerating and passing on the highway. The interior is extremely comfortable and have been on several 6+ hour trips without stopping. The interior is also very quiet on the highway which is a very big plus. I think the price is a bit high, but it slots in under an Acura MDX which has a nicer dash appearance.
