Used 2003 Nissan Maxima GLE 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
it's a monster
A great performer in all aspects, unbelievable perfomance all around!!!!!!
Very Happy Nissan Owner
So far it has been pure pleasure. Plenty of power to spare with the smooth shifting automatic. I really like the comfort of the seats and the factory stereo with 7 speakers is more than adequate. The exterior lighting is fabulous -- night driving no longer an issue. Handling is good and will improve when I get new tires.
Stolen Headlights
I Love this car have not had any problems at 35k miles, but my headlights have been stolen twice. If you live in the Northeast do not buy this car, it is a theives delight.
Just got it
Bought the 2003 because my old car was a 5 speed 91 Celica and I just got tired of the shifting in rush hour traffic and it was time for a new car! Since the 2004 model was out, Deland Nissan offered great incentives to move the 03 and everyone at the dealship has been outstanding! Got an excellent deal, including what I got for the trade in. Since I've had the car less than a month, it has , of course, performed flawlessly. Great ride and handling.
Disappointed
Well, I chose the Maxima over the Avalon and now think I regret my choice. Yes the Maxima has the horsepower, it has a more progressive look BUT the ride is rough, it is a little work to dirve, and outside noise is detectable. So if you only have short hops want to accelerate to 60 -70 and then go slow its great. If you want to cruise and drive for more than 30 minutes at speed NOT A GOOD CHOICE - This weekend I am going to buy an Avalon - will accept less exterior sex appeal look and horsepower for Luxury ride / quietness which should be expected in a $30K car.
