Used 2014 Nissan Frontier Consumer Reviews
It loves gas!
Bought this as a more cost effective and less 'garage filling' replacement for my 2000 Silverado. Interior fit and finish is great, good visibility and lots of power. A/C works well which is appreciated in TX. Cons: this truck gets 16.5 MPG city and about 20.5 highway - way less than my old 4.8 L Silverado which got 19.5/23 over 170K miles with a larger and more powerful engine. The Frontier is a miserable highway truck as you have to compensate for every little wind gust and it will hydroplane easily compared to the other trucks I have owned. There is also a 'clunk' in the driveline which I have noted in not only my but other Frontiers when taking off from a stop. Still, it is a good value for an 'in town hauler' if you do not need a longer 6' bed.

Gassy
Great truck, just be prepared to make frequently stops at your favorite gas station. I can't seem to get more than 330 miles out of a tank.

Great truck!
I am impressed with the off road capabilities and winter driving capabilities, this truck has great traction in all road conditions and is very capable off road. The Bilstein shocks give this truck a very soft ride for daily driving and can soak up the bumps and dips off road like a champ! My complaints with the vehicle are body integrity with sqeaks and rattles, in the door and random noises here and there., the engine vibrates excessively at idle. Over all I do like the truck... The dealer service is fair, although when I have had recalls on vehicle, I have scheduled an appointment for repair I get to the dealer and they tell me they cannot repair it??? That is very frustrating, so I have 3 open recalls on the truck, little things mind you but, just tell me before i get there you cannot fix them. SMH.

Rugged and Reliable
I had this truck for about 7 mths now. Bought new. It is a rugged little truck. I say little even though it's consider as a mid size truck. On the out side it gives the illusion that it's has a roomer interior. Nissan could have made it a few in wider and added a few in of leg room for back seat passengers. 1 week after having the truck I exp. a loud clanking noise during start ups, and while driving until the engine warmed up. The dealer tried to tell me it was normal but turn out to be a loose cooling fan. Now my driver's side window makes scraping noise when the window is let up or down. Looks like I need a new regulator. Other than that it's a great truck, but with bad gas mileage.
Not a bad midsize truck
This vehicle is a little uncomfortable after 100 miles of highway driving. Very stiff ride on local roads. Very wide turning radius for this size truck. Gas miles overall was about 18 mpg. UPDATE 1.26.2020 Sold the Nissan and purchased a 2019 Honda Ridgeline
