2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 S 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl CVT)

I bought the 2008 basicl Nissan Altima in 2009 based on positive reviews from other consumer organizations. I sold it with 103,000 miles on it to get a lower mileage car. The car turned out to be a reliable car that can be driven for many more miles. It has an attractive, sporty look. It provided a smooth ride, quality audio, frosty air conditioning, and good brakes. The controls are easy to read and to figure out. I had no problems driving in snow or rain. The repairs were basically routine maintenance. The seats tend to be stiff. One time the driver-side window got stuck.

Buy used with caution... Transmission issues

I've had my 08 Altima coupe 3.5 se for 3 months now, but had issues from the get-go. Transmission failed right as I drove off the lot (test drove it the day before and worked great). Had to push the car a good 1/4 of a mile because it could not go up a slight incline... From where I lived. I should have done a little more digging before I had bought this car (but my car was dying and needed a car right away).Turns out that Nissan has had nothing but problems with their cvt's. But I'm surprised that the transmission had lasted 190k miles (when I bought it). Otherwise, this is a great sporty coupe... It doesn't have the greatest pain job (already got a few good paint chips). But drives great (though the v6 would be better paired with a traditional trans instead of the cvt (somewhat slow acceleration for a v6).

I thought this car was going to solve my car buying woes...i was wrong. Its and okay car if you just want something to drive. I want personality in the car. Buy a civic coupe. Its cheaper. It gets really good gas mileage. The trunk is really small. I can fit 1 golf bag and a duffle bag...thats it. The sound system has good speakers for just the base model. If your gonna buy get a manual trans. Its gonna be more fun than the cvt...its boring. smooth ride. i will give it that. the interior is built around the driver and i feel comfortable when in it. Just really bored with car. Would be awesome as rear wheel drive.

Anyone in the market looking for a reasonably priced used car needs to consider the 2009 Nissan Altima. The car is comfortable, reliable, attractive, and is very easy to drive. This car is for the driver that’s going to be doing a moderate amount of driving on paved roads; for example, somebody that needs across town to work or school every day. Reliability This car is several years old so it will typically have a good amount of miles on it. If you are looking around the 100,000 mile mark and choose this car like I did, you will be very pleased with this car. After putting on an additional 20,000 miles over the last year and everything has worked perfectly. This has been a nearly even split of highway and city miles, so whether you are traveling a two hours a day or 15 minutes, this car will hold up for you. Comfort The driver and your passengers all have sufficient room to relax in this car. The physical space within the car combined with the high quality sound system and accommodating heating and air conditioning system allow you to comfortably cruise around no matter where you are from. There are versions of this car with leather or cloth interiors, so you’ll even be able to match it to your favorite seat at home! Looks When looking for an affordable and reliable car the exterior is often put to the back of the list of priorities. However, this car was styled as both a luxurious and sporty sedan. A combination of those two styles leaves the Nissan Altima with a not-too-curvy and not-too-boxy medium sized exterior that you’ll be able to drive to any event. Drivability The sports and luxury mixture of this car doesn’t stop with the exterior, you’ll be able to notice this when you’re behind the wheel as well. In the manual transmission setting, you can get speed quickly if you are late to an appointment or you could leave it in the automatic transmission if you’re on a Saturday afternoon cruise. Whatever your preference, the Nissan Altima offers the speed of an average sports car or the smooth driving of a luxury vehicle. This car was built for the consumer that is looking for an enjoyable ride to work or school every day. This is illustrated through the reliability, comfort, looks, and drivability of the car. If you have important things to do every day, you won’t have the time to be constantly getting repairs and will want to be able to enjoy a smooth, comfortable drive. You won’t have to break the bank for all these features and a good looking car either. I hope this review helped in your car search!
