Mini Cooper Fun!
I have been a MG fan for over 20 years having owned and still owning a bunch. That being said, this Mini Cooper S is without doubt the most fun vehicle I have ever had. It does everything well. I absolutely love it. While its not for everyone, it is definitely for me!
S Power
Car is unbelieveably fun to drive. I have added an intake and exhaust to boost power. Ride is choopy on bad roads. 17" wheels and runflats make the ride firm. Great shifter and brakes.

Happiness Went Downhill
The car was great when i first got it. but after 4 brake repairs (which the dealer insists is my fault, even though the caliper locks up on the rotor), this car is driving me to the poorhouse. everytime i rebound from paying off repairs, the car brakes down and i need to have it repaired again. i would NEVER buy another one. and i recommend anyone who is looking into this vehicle to look for something else. the dealership has done their best to make me happy, but it doesn't change the fact that i haven't been able to keep this car out of the shop for more than six months at a time. bad brakes. cracked windscreen and the car weighs too little to drive in the snow - no traction kills the tires
Drive it like you stole it
The essence is this: the MINI Cooper (particularly the S model) is a driver's car. This is the most fun I've had driving a car, ever. The unofficial motto says it all: "Drive it like you stole it!" Driving it like you have your mom in it is no fun at all, and it's worse deal for your mom. Very direct, tight, steering, brakes, and shifting make for a rewarding experience. Choosing a new car is always a gamble, but after two months of driving it like I stole it, I feel like a winner.
You owe this car a test drive!
The engine really loosens up after break-in. The car's suspension is very tight, so those that want to feel like they're floating on a cloud may I point you towards a 7-series. Let me ask you something: On gokarts is the ride cushy and bump-free? No. Do you feel connected to the road? Yes. Does driving one put a grin on your face? It darn should! This is a brand new from the ground up car. OF COURSE it's going to have a few issues in it's first production year, which I will gladly forgive. That's what a warranty is for. Note: my Cooper S has been very good to me.
