The 2023 EQE has very nice interior but its electrical system (batteries, motors, charging system) is way behind others. MB salesman told me his 2023 EQE loaner got 280 miles range when new, but dropped to below 240 miles after a year of use.

We were pleasantly surprised at how this rides and the exceptional build quality. Also impressive is how QUIET it is inside, especially compared with other EVs in its class. And it's a torquey machine too, with enough thrust to allow for motivated merges. The Baumeister sound system is really quite nice to listen to, lacking any sense of fatigue at elevated volumes over long distances. Only detractors are that like most ALL the EVs on the road today, it eats tires more rapidly than bunny rabbits replicate. Ours in particular, with the custom wheel package, grinds down the tread on these sticky 285/35R20s within ~10k miles (if we don't drive 10 mph below the speed limit like a blind granny on her way to get groceries). Overall it's one of the nicer vehicles we've had the pleasure of leasing or owning.
