Noisy Engine, Floaty, Moldy, Dealers Discriminate

Don't buy or lease a Mercedes if you are Asian. The dealerships will practically accuse you of shipping their cars to China with some embarrassing questioning due to a widespread scam they got hit with recently. As for the car, the 2019 E300 was nice until we got it home and started it in our garage the next morning. The direct injection of their 4 cylinder engine is very noisy. It almost sounds like a diesel. The ride is mushy on the highway. Try bouncing the rear suspension in the show room and you will see what I mean (I wish I had done this). It's a progressive spring rate, but the initial rate is too low and results in a lot of floaty oscillating under certain conditions. Mercedes is not what it used to be! We bought an X5 in 2020 and its suspension is comfortable, but it still handles well and feels planted without any unusual bouncing like the Mercedes. Wow! What a difference a well tuned suspension makes! After about a year of owning this car, the battery is discharging after sitting for a couple of weeks at a time during the pandemic. None of our other cars have this problem. I also found out that many owners are having trouble with mold in the air conditioning system. Fortunately, we live in a dry climate. Mercedes! What happened to your quality, engineering, and design??? Anyone out there want to buy a lightly used E300? Anyone?

4 cylinder and luxury cars

Under powered luxury cars . Never purchase a midsize or larger car car with a 4 cylinder engine . Never pay full price for a half of an engine . Always test a car on a steep grade and power for passing . Always check the capped speed on a car . Why pay 60,000.00 For a high powered car if your car will only do the capped speed of a 20,000.00 car ?

Just bought a used E450 with AMG trim/upgrades...except engine. Amazing car, tons of compliments as it's the 1st I've seen in my area. Plenty fast too.
