2025 Mazda CX-50 Consumer Reviews

Love my new Mazda!
I have driven Toyota and Honda cars most of my adult life, and upon hearing the CX-50 Hybrid utilized the Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid engine and drive train, all I needed to do was test drive the Mazda, and I was sold! The "feel" of the Mazda is so much more satisfying then either the RAV 4 or the CRV for me. I will not be taking the car on long trips, and will be using it for local driving primarily. The interior quality is superior to the competition, and I LOVE the way it drives. I will not have large adults in the back seat, but certainly my grandkids. They love the feel and look of the seats, and are thrilled when they see I am getting 45 MPG on local commutes when I can use the electric motors more often. The tightness, fit, and finish of the car is very impressive. I have the Premium Plus model, and really like the heads up display feature. I only expect that in more expensive cars, so it is a nice addition to the car features. I like the zoom zoom I feel when driving a Mazda, and did not know what I was missing until I purchased the vehicle. I have about 1,500 miles on the car and look forward to driving it whenever the opportunity arises.

8 Day Rental Experience-Hybrid Premium
Rented a newCX-50 Hybrid Premium for 8 days, 460 miles driven before refueling at 1/4 full (110 miles Distance to Empty) required 9.5 gallons regular grade fuel to return to full. Computer registered 39.3 mpg but via mileage driven and fuel required to fill calculated to 48.4 mpg. I do drive with a lighter foot for acceleration. Initial impression for seat comfort, very firm but over the course of the time it was fine. Fit and finish was good and feels of higher quality materials with simplistic controls. Apple CarPlay was glitchy unfortunately disconnecting randomly and reconnecting on its own accord wired and or wireless mode. Bose system was excellent once adjusted for my listening preferences. Cargo capacity was larger than a 2024 Ford Escape for comparison purposes providing approximately 8-10” of additional cargo room. Lane keep assist was not intrusive and auto wipers provided a little premium touch. Overall vehicle driving comfort felt planted, firm and very comfortable.

Great car
This is my first Mazda and I so far I love it very comfortable and a nice ride, getting use to the using the way everything is adjusted through the system seems a little confusing. The dealer was great and as I get use to the new way of doing things it will be easier.
