Sold on Soul Red
Just purchased a 2020 CX-30 and took advantage of the 0% financing. My wife will be the primary driver and she loves the sleek appearance, agile handling and the Soul Red color. Her coworkers keep asking to look at the car ! I had been researching this model for quite some time and am familiar with both the engine and Mazda since we also own a 2016 CX-5 with which we are very satisfied. The interior of the CX-30 is very tastefully done and out rivals anything in its class. Don't understand Edmunds thinking that fuel mileage is just average as our CX-5 has delivered impressive mileage over time using the same engine in a slightly larger car. Just keep the tires properly inflated.

Luxury design with top notch safety
First time Mazda buyer and user. Not disappointed at all. I chose Premium CX-30, car comes with all features. Beautiful design in and out. Many safety functions keep you alert while driving. 186 horsepower is the advantage plus 12 Bose speakers! Only a little slow accelerated from stop that I noticed some time but not a big deal. Overall is great and very happy with a new car.

I Wanted to Love It
I bought a CX-30 last summer after test driving the BMW X-1, Volvo XC40, Audi Q3, and Lincoln Corsair. It was loaded with the Premium Package and a lot of car and features for the money, cost about 35% less than the comparably equipped other vehicles. Here were my major likes and dislikes after owning it for 6 months: +) Classy looking interior with a luxury look. Clean, uncluttered instrumentation and controls. +) Good handling and steering. Close 2nd to the BMW. +) I found the infotainment/navigation control knob easy to use while driving. - ) Engine was adequate but unsatisfying. 6 speed automatic was well executed but it could have used another gear of two. - ) Build quality was good but it became evident that there was lots of cost cutting in the parts and how little things worked versus the luxury competitors. - ) Metallic white paint looked a bit yellowish on the nose/front bumper versus the body. - ) Electrical problems. Battery died/car would not start three different times after sitting for 15-20 minutes with accessory power on listening to radio while I are a sandwich. Dealer insisted there was not a problem with the battery or electrical system and inferred it was how I used the car. Never had a similar issue is any other car we owned. I ended up trading out of it after 6 months for a 2021 Mercedes GLA-250, which wasn't out when I initially shopped or it would have been my hands down choice from the start. Got a great trade in price for the CX-30, Now I can eat a sandwich in my car and listen to the radio without fear of being stranded.

I love my Mazda C30
My last Mazda was a Mazda Mystere MX6. It is still on the road after 26 years. So I thought I would look at the latest Mazda CX30. I love its handling. I feel as though I am part of the vehicle. It feels great on the open road, parks easily, has great bells and whistles, but you can change to manual if you prefer. The colour choice is great. Admired on the road. Really like the Bose speakers. Sensible information displays. So happy with my choice.
