Would Not Recommend - RX350 Luxury

I purchased this car in September of 2023, it's currently July 2024 and the car has been in the shop 12+ weeks and counting with the longest time being 10 weeks! This car is awful, if you want it for the "looks" buy a base model dont waste your time on a top trim. The engine is so loud the radio volume has to be at 25+ to hear it and start to drown out the noise. The infotainment system is not intuitive at all. Also, the sound will stop playing out of nowhere and won't begin again until you turn the car off and on. The system is so laggy you have to "enable audio" every time you get in the car. Talk about annoying! Why can't I just turn the car on and hear the radio playing??? Also, the temperature control knobs are built into the screen & almost seem loose. So, when I drive those knobs rattle and make so much noise the car itself sounds like it's made of plastic. The dealership couldn't fix the lagginess of the radio or the shaky knobs, so the stereo has already been replaced once. Thank goodness it's under warranty because the cost was $13,000!!! But guess what?! The knobs still rattle - and so does half of the other plastic parts in the car! Here's my biggest complaint yet! The heads-up display! Talk about god awful! Any speed over 60mph the HUD shakes and is nauseating to look at or focus on when driving. I have brought the car to the dealership 4 times for this issue, and they claim they don't see the issue. Or they can't fix it because it's a safety issue. I put a buy-back claim in with Lexus because I can't justify spending $66K on car for all these issues. Once I put the buy-back claim in, I had a Lexus directed ride-along with the Foreman of the Lexus Maintenance shop (mind this is the only Lexus dealer in my state!) and he finally verified he did see the HUD shaking at high speeds and even at lower speeds when going over bumps. So, the car is in the shop again for them to possibly fix my issues, or I will continue perusing the buy-back claim. Also, keep in mind this HUD issues and rattles is not just in my car - I have another RX350h as a loaner and have all the same issues! Lexus did not build a quality vehicle, which is so sad because I have dreamed of owning a Lexus for years, I'll be going back to Audi/VW after this experience.

I love my 2022 RX350, but do not like the 2023.

I have purchased a 2016 RX350 and currently own a 2022 RX350. My 2022 is an excellent vehicle and my wife loves everything about it. The 2023 has several things I do not like and one item that because of the shifting mechanism I would never purchase the vehicle. While driving on a highway I barely bumped the shifter with my arm and it went from drive position to neutral. I have many decades of driving experience and I had never had a shifter move from the D position to neutral while moving. Next it is not intuitive when having to change from D to R several times to position the vehicle in a tight parking lot. Next the passenger door opening push button never opened on the first attempt a handle like on my 2022 model works great. The paint also did not look as rich as my 2022 model. The ride was similar in both vehicles but I much prefer the look of the dash and controls on my 2022 model vs. the 2023.

Love this vehicle! Sold my 2014 Lexus ES350 Ultra luxury for luxury edition RX350. Couldn’t be more pleased. So many new safety features! First turn all on and then if any are a hassle they can each be turned off individually. Quiet, smooth and plenty of power with a 4 cylinder. I’m sure the 8 speed transmission helps. I don’t think the turbo has been kicked in yet. I researched for 6 months looking at all models. This model works for me. Did have to pay MSRP.

System Malfunctions repeatedly and Lexus can't fix

5 months into buying my new 2023 RX 350 AWD Luxury model, I started repeatedly experiencing "System Malfunction" warning messages on the dashboard. This has resulted in the Blindspot Monitor & Rear Cross Traffic Alerts not working. Despite bringing it into Lexus at least 5 times, they have never been able to fix it because they don't know what is causing it and don't know how to fix it. Every time it happens I'm inconvenienced by having to bring my car back to the service departments, but I also do not feel safe driving this car! In order to have your car classified as Lemon you HAVE to go through mediation by the NCDS. Warning: the NCDS is entirely funded by Car Manufacturers! While my standard safety features continue to break down, Lexus defended themselves by saying, the car still turns on and drives, right?? If I wanted a reliable car that turned on a drove, I'd get a Honda Civic. I wouldn't spend $75k on a top of the line Lexus! Needless to say, I'm hiring a lawyer and will be pursing this to get this piece of garbage car classified as a lemon. Other things I hate about the car, it has ZERO pickup. The car has a 4 cylinder engine. Try getting on the freeway with traffic moving at 70mph or try passing someone when you are going 65 and others are going 80. The car is totally unresponsive. I've had the car stuck in Neutral when at car washes, almost careening into the stop light telling me to put the car in Drive. The rotors had to be completely resurfaced because they were warped. Lexus had absolutely NO concern for my safety and only said drivers shouldn't rely on safety "aids" to work. I suppose we shouldn't expect airbags to inflate either? Do yourself a favor and buy any other manufacturer. After owning 5 Lexus vehicles, I will never buy another Lexus or Toyota. This car SUCKS and the only thing worse is Lexus "Customer Service".

The new RX 350 is a great car with a nice ride

I bought this to replace a two-year old Lexus NX300, which is not a bad car, but has a much harder ride than the RX. The new RX is a great car, I upgraded the already nicely-equipped base model with the large 14" screen, heated and cooled seats and parking assist. I was afraid that the new 4-cylinder 2.4 liter turbo would be louder and not as powerful as the old 6-cylinder, but it rides great. I am 100% glad that I switched to the RX. Now after one year I still love the car, engine is powerful enough to make me happy and I get 26.6 miles per gallon. This car offers a great ride. During the first year we drove mid-range and longer trips and it was great.
