I used to love Lexus. I still want to, but they are cutting corners. Thankfully I don’t have some of the issues others have (yet), but I will say the car rattles awfully loudly when in a slanted driveway after filling the gas tank. No other vehicle I have ever owned sounds like that. It is embarrassing and sounds like something is wrong with it, yet they tell me it’s normal. My biggest complaint, however, is the seats are horribly uncomfortable. I spend a lot of time in my car and my old 2008 rx350 was soooo comfortable. This is like sitting on a slab of concrete - my sciatic nerve is aggravated causing numbness in my leg and there is no amount of lumbar support that can make my back not hurt with a non-padded seat. This is supposed to be the luxury brand yet the other day, I used uber and my driver was in a 2021 4runner and it was SO Comfortable! Why the hell would Toyota/Lexus make the Lexus LESS comfortable than the Toyota when it has a much bigger price tag. Lexus is going downhill.

Nice Ride

When compared to other vehicles I looked at, the Lexus was by far the best. It cost more, but is worth it. The dealership is outstanding in sales and service. Looking forward to having this vehicle for a long time. 2016 looks exactly the same as the 2019 and it was very low mileage. Lots of room for the dogs and the ability to travel.

Not as sporty as it looks, but great bang for buck

My RX 350 F-sport is a great vehicle, which still looks and performs like new. My wife thinks the front seats in my F-model are a bit too firm, but she likes a cushy ride. I drive a lot and now don’t have any lower back issues for the first time in my adult life, so it would be hard for me to find fault with the comfort of these seats. The F-model looks super aggressive, which I love. This car is not as sporty as it looks, but it has plenty of power and performance. It’s not an AMG MB by any stretch, but it also costs half as much. It has adequate trunks/cargo storage, but if you have 5 people and luggage, it can get tight once you load presents and luggage for a family holiday’s-style trip. It’s been flawless with the exception of a lot of wind buffeting on the panoramic roof when open. I finally took it to dealer and they changed the rubber seals, which significantly reduced the noise. I really wish I had thought of that sooner. Just a great car. It gets a lot of compliments in black. The seat coolers are okay - I live in a fairly hot/humid city and once the car’s black interior gets hot in a parking lot, it takes a while to cool down. On all but the warmest days, the autocooled seats, which integrate seamlessly with the auto-climate control do an excellent job. The seat fan is kind of loud when on high, sounds a bit like you are waiting for your jet plane to taxi. Sound system is excellent, which I’m fairly certain is partially responsible for my newer hearing loss (thank you Mark Levinson). The lane keep assist only works on straight-aways with newer painted street lane markers. It will let you coast right out of your lane, so don’t rely on it. Other vehicles have more sophisticated systems that do a much better job. The adaptive cruise is nice, but it is super conservative and shuts down in heavy traffic, so it’s not the perfect stop and go solution. Also, when driving in regular traffic, the adaptive cruise doesn’t accelerate very fast, which causes you to make others slow down if you don’t override the system. For example, you are slowed down automatically because you approach a slower moving vehicle in your lane. So, you switch lanes to pass them. It then increases speed at about one mile per second. Anybody coming up in the passing lane behind you thinks you are a real jerk. Not a huge thing, but it’s just too conservative/slow to resume your previous speed without manually stepping on the gas. I have driven 41k miles in less than 2 years. I enjoy it and would buy this vehicle again.

Purchased a 2016 RX 350 March 2016. Love the new look and the new changes that were made to this SUV. This is my 4th RX I have owned. I love the way they look and handle. Except this one has a noise when I excelerate, know mater what speed. It sounds like a vibration coming from underneath like the transmission. Lexus calls it a drowning sound. All I can say is it drives me nuts. Totally unexceptable.Lexus claims there is no fix at this time. Be ware and be sure to test drive at length. Not happy ......

First, the car is ugly, I was hoping it would grow on me but I just hate it. Rear looks a little like an angry Asian man and the front looks like an old man with a bad fu man chu. If that isn't bad enough the side looks like a transformer. My 2015 is refined, quiet and has great classic lines. The 16 is, in my opinion lost between wanting to be a sports car and a station wagon. The rake on the rear window makes the cargo space way too small and difficult to see out of and the floating roof line is nissanesque. I have been a Lexus guy for about 10 years and a Toyota guy since 1995. Lexus/Toyota needs to fire their designers because the cars are just ugly. I was waiting for the new Camry to upgrade my old one and just can't do it, the design is terrible. Is that why there is a perpetual 0% interest rate on it?
