Ignore the Nonsense
Ignore the idiotic reviews dinging the GX. This thing is bulletproof. Comfortable ride. Nice features. Incredible resale value. I don't need some tech entertainment on an outsized screen while driving, it has the features any sensible person actually needs. And, again, it simply doesn't break.

Mini Land Cruiser
This is a very solid vehicle with a great engine and stereo. The throttle response is really sluggish, so a petal commander is really a must have. Makes the car come alive with a great v8 and really smooth and responsive tranny. Very relaxing to drive and comfortable. I’m 6’2” and 230lbs and fit just fine. Very good on rough trails and back roads, sand, even some moderately technical stuff. Love the full time 4 wheel drive.

OVERPRICED,OVERATED.
This Lexus GX has been a headache since the day it was purchased since new. The interior materials are cheap, rivaling fisher price products, the seats are hard and unsupportive, the suspension sqeaks and the dealer can’t fix it, etc. The car also suffers from technology that is slow, frustrating to use, and severely outdated. For a 4.6 Liter V8, power is minimum with poor braking to assist it. The steering is very vague. The car has had 4-5 unexpected visits to the dealer, fortunately covered from warranty. Did I mention rust? This car is already rusting, with it only covering 70,000 miles. The good points of this car include the dealer being easy to work with, and lots of room with the seats folded. For a 65,000 car, this car is in no way worth it.
