Exemplary automobile
For twelve years this car has has given me extraordinary service. Except for routine maintenance, there have been no mechanical problems whatsoever. It is, hands down, the best car I have ever owned and I intend to drive it forever. At such a time as it dies a natural death, I would definitely buy another Lexus. Hopefully, they will come out with a hybrid, as I would prefer a more environmentally friendly engine. That is not the fault of this car.
Great Car
It is a great car, I love the looks of it, the lines on the car are great. I have only had the car 8 months, but I absoultly love it, I have put 16000 miles on it already, including a trip from NJ to AZ, it now has 166,000 miles on it, and I couldn't be happier with it, I plan to dive it till it dies. As for performance, It is great, I was really suprised when I first drove it how peppy it real was. The car still handles like a dream, the only complant I have with the car is the engine compartment, it is too small, you have to go through too much work to do anything that should be simple.
Awesome car, time for me to move on...
This has been a great car. My mother bought it when it was a brand new baby car. My parents kept good care of it, and I (the daughter) have it now. After purchasing a 2001 Camry, I have talked my mom into trading with me. I like the feel and drive of the 12 year old Lexus BETTER than a brand new car. This is the type of car that if you take care of it, this car will go another 115,000 miles. We (my husband and I) are planning on a baby, and we need the room of an SUV. I will be sorry I ever got rid of this car when I finally go to trade it. There aren't mant cars built as well as this Lexus.
PERFORMANCE UPGRADES
I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR A WHILE IT NEEDED SOME AVERAGE REAPIRS. TUNE UP AND TIRES WAS A MUST. PERFORMANCE UPGRADES INCLUDE A CUSTOM EXUAST AND AIRINTAKE AND THIS BABY NEVER NEEDS GAS I GO FOR 2 AND A HALF WEEKS ON THE SAME TANK OF FUEL.I LOVE THIS CAR AND WILL KEEP IT FOREVER

GREAT CAR
I LOVE THIS CAR. I HAVE HAD IT FOREVER AND THE THING KEEPS GOING. THERE HAVE BEEN TO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR SINCE I HAVE BOUGHT IT. I LOVE THIS CAR.
Great Car!
Best investment I ever made. The car has served me well for 18 years and only now requiring extensive replacement of seals, etc., that the severe AZ heat (and time) has finally zapped.
19 years old and still boogeying
This is my first car, I bought it with 104,000 in 2008 miles and at 19 years old its still going strong. The only things that have been replaced since 1990 are the battery, tires, and only very recently the alternator and headlight bulbs. Its a straight 4 cylinder but its quicker than my sister's 04 Subaru Legacy, and it handles beautifully doing highway speeds, you'd never know it was a 1990. I absolutely love my car, I know it will start up every morning and perform as if it was only a year old.
Good Comfort and Rekiabikity
great reliable comfortable beautiful sleek wonderful lovely resilient rust- proof good great very good kicks butt knocks'em dead all weather sully
first and best
The first Lexus was the best......loved this car.....no problems till it was 13 years old and drove it 170 miles a day for a year...then some things started to wear out.......
The car that never dies
The best car! Have owned the car it's whole life. It had no major problems until it's 14th year when we replaced the radiator and power steering hoses. The comfort of a Lexus is second to none and the drive is still nice even though the car is going on 16(the ride is a little rougher in the Minnesota winter). The only pitfall of owning a Lexus this old (or at any age) is that repair costs are not cheap. My family is dedicated to the Lexus/Toyota name and will buy no other vehicles as this car has been so incredibly reliable for so long.
Luxury under $2,000
I absolutely love this car since it debuted. I owned a previous 1990 ES 250 (2000-2003) until it was totaled in an accident, which I walked away from. Since then I owned 2 Volvos 960s but when I saw another a ES 250 sitting on a lot and even w/145,800 miles on it I had to have it. It very luxurious with leather and the wood and being it's a lexus, it will last for at least another 10 years and 100,000 miles. Plan to keep it forever.
Good Little Car
I find the car fun to drive, it is a good commuter and does well on the Interstate. It is reliable for being a 1990 model with 150000 miles on it.
Well Built Vehicle
This is a well built vehicle! It's 12 years old and still rides like its new. Performance and comfort go hand in hand with the Lexus ES250. The interior is well crafted and tight. The exterior has some minor rust at the rear wheel wells but is easily repairable. About the only thing wrong with the vehicle is the engine compartment. It is very tight and difficult to perform the most minor of tasks.
Very good car
Awesome car for how old it is. I like the color (mine's dark red) w/tan inside.
Good
It's a good car. Smoothe, slick, and very classy.
bad 250 es
This car is very poorly made,I have had nothing but trouble . Every fluid leaks badly,so many rattles I came to terms with "just turn up the radio" I have tried to fix these problems but can not fix all that is wrong with it ,@ apoint it is not worth it because of limited value of the car. I will not buy a lexus again !!!
Poor re-sale value
I bought this Lexus as a 5-speed when it had covered 154K miles. Since then I have loads of problems with oil leaks, failed A/C in the heat of summer, front suspension had to redone, the wipe/wash system does not work and the central locking mechanism goes out of order very often. What a bad Lexus experience! When I can afford it I will buy a Honda Accord rather then waist money on a Lexus. Also, the resale value is very poor for this car, which I have learnt to my dismay.
I liked my Lexus
I bought the car used, and enjoyed it very much before its untimely demise in a collision with a bus (which I walked away from). I did replace the control arm, struts, alternator, and battery but it was a 1990. I was able to get a better deal at the dealership due to knowing that the car needed those repairs so I did not feel like I got a lemon or anything. I really like the appearance of the car and the drive so I'll definitely miss it!
the best car
this is a very comfortable reliable car. Handles the road well.Just enough room on the inside. a pleasure to drive. general maintance is expensive. no unexpected breakdowns
Good Car
I have had this car for a couple of years. I has run great and it is an inexpensive car to buy
