Got myself a 2021 Stinger GT2!
I took a lot into consideration when deciding to buy a Stinger, but it ended up beating out other new Kia models, as well as the more expensive luxury sedans (I.e. Mercedes, audi, Lexus, etc.). The Stinger occupies a fairly niche class in the car market (Performance sedans from non-luxury brands), and actually shares the class with cars like the Dodge Charger. Despite being from a "non-luxury" brand, the quality of the Stinger easily rivals that of typical luxury brands. All in all, I love my car. It's a blast to drive, the ride is incredibly smooth, and it has great all around performance. I passed up the typical "luxury" brands because of the increased costs, and because I have no interest in being associated with the Uber-bougie reputation those brands are associated with. As for what I think about the vehicle, I would agree with the "cons" described by Edmunds' professional reviewers in that it has pretty poor rear visibility due to its fastback design. It sits rather low as well and with the sloping roofline, it can be difficult to get in and out of. There is some slight jitteriness at times, but I feel this is minimal and isn't worrisome to me. Beyond the aforementioned styling issues, etc., I absolutely love the look and feel of the vehicle. The interior and exterior quality is outstanding for the class of vehicle the Stinger falls in. The interior is incredibly comfortable. While I missed out on the larger 10'' infotainment screen of the 2022, I feel the 8'' screen of the 2021 is plenty large enough. The UI took some getting used to as the car has a lot of available tech, but was easy to use once I spent some time with it. My only other [slight] complaint is the gas mileage. Though, this is somewhat relative, as depending on the vehicle you are coming from, fuel economy may be better or worse. For me the drop to 17/25/20 was an adjustment. That said, I would like to point out that when driven on the Eco setting and driving mildly, my MPG has been consistently higher than the EPA ratings above. When driving on a Highway with 60-70 MPH, the inertia of the car is enough to carry it over hills easily and I was able to get 29 MPG. My combined MPG is usually 21-23. Even though I'm driving on Eco, I feel very loss of performance. All-in-all, I love my new car, and I definitely don't regret my purchase. I love driving my Stinger, and I love seeing other Stingers on the road. I feel like I'm part of an underappreciated car club; especially since the roads in my area are dominated by Lexus, Mercedes, Audi, and BMW. When I see someone driving one of the typical "luxury" brands, I can't help but think that they got duped into paying a lot more for an insignia rather than actual value.

A well balanced high performance GT!
UPDATE: No major issues approaching 40k miles. Had drivers side rear window die but covered under warranty. Still a hoot to drive! We had been looking at the Stinger since its release and finally got around to buying one. It was our sixth new Kia from Peak Kia in Littleton, CO and 8th overall, so it's safe to say we're Kia fans. I've always been a big fan of Kia's return on investment, and the 2021 Stinger GT2 AWD is the best example of that. It's very well designed, You can have a leisurely commute and then jump into a high performance bit and always be in control. It has enough power to get you into trouble, but enough features and tech to keep you out of it. This car is certainly a 'halo' car for the brand, and has been useful in shaking out some of the newer tech that's filtered down into the rest of the lineup this year. I take the head-up display HUD for granted a lot and really would like to see it standard on more cars because it really keeps your focus on the road and not looking down at the instrument panel. Especially useful on a commute as you can see the blind spot indicators on the HUD without even turning your head. The 360 camera is also great. Moving the ride mode to 'Sport' mode is really great as the driver seat bolsters move in to 'hug' you, just to let you know that you may be in for some g-forces (which you can call up on a gauge, by the way. The only 'complaint' is that the Apple CarPlay version in the 2021 requires a charging cable connected to it for communication, but the vehicle also has wireless charging and bluetooth which is inconvenient, and when you have a large phone like an iPhone 12 pro max it barely fits to begin with (once you trim the rubber pad on the charger. Wireless connections would be appreciated here. 17k miles later: We went on vacation from Colorado to Illinois/Michigan and back the summer of 2021 and long runs are definitely a pleasure in the Stinger. The 'tech' saved our butt when we had a torrential downpour and the radar speed control and lane detection still worked, keeping us alerted to anything ahead and making sue we stayed in the lane. Later through the winter, absolutely no problem in getting anywhere. We moved to Greeley, so my commute went from 20 minutes to 51 minutes, and wouldn't consider the longer commute with anything but the Stinger. It's not all perfect world, though. Intermittent issues with backup camera (blue screen), occasional interruption of downward pointing side mirrors when in reverse, and resetting HUD height occasionally back to default.

Can’t beat the perfomance
The Stinger GT is a joy to drive. There have been a lot of rattles coming from the drivers side door and sunroof. The biggest issue is the paint chipping from day one of buying the car. Still working out that with Kia consumer affairs. As of a month of trying to get resolved, still no luck. You get a lot of performance for the money, but you will be irritated by the little things that you feel you shouldn’t have to deal with when you bought a brand new car.

Almost Perfect
The overall appeal and feel of this vehicle is great! I went with the 2021 Kia stinger GT line. It's the 2 l turbo, now this thing absolutely does not have a bunch of power initially but it's got a bunch of potential. The overall feeling and handling of it is almost perfect I believe the sway bar is definitely need upgraded to give it a little bit more less of a flex around turns but the overall strength of the structure is perfect. It's very long and there's plenty of space in it for a sports sedan. The aesthetics of it are absolutely amazing although the headlights come with halogen bulbs in them compared to the upgraded model that has amazing LEDs so I had to swap those bulbs out immediately after buying it. I believe there should be some more safety features that come stock in it no matter what but I do give the car four out of five stars.

Go-GT2
Had this car for 3 months now and I have no complaints. I like the comfort of the drivers seat the heads up display is great. You now your speed, which when driving this car you need to keep track, and with the lane assist you always know when you get distracted. It’s fast and yet doesn’t get the attention from the police. People who had look at, driven or read car magazines knows this car and how it performs. Couldn’t be happier.

Nice Drive But Watch The Rattle
The ride for the GT Line is great! For the money both seats should be automatic! The biggest issue is the trunk rattles at low speeds. The issue is known for the Stinger model (google it). I brought mine in - the issue was not corrected- will be going back.

Great Car
This is a 10/10 great car! The seat grabs you during sport mode which is very neat. The power is great, and it is very luxurious. You can take this car anywhere. Weedings, or everyday shopping. It's never underdressed or overdressed it's just the perfect car for me. The price is great for what you are getting, and the warrantee is unmatched.
Only Buy A Stinger If
Only Buy A Stinger If: You love embarrassing your Acuras/v6 Dodge Chargers/Challengers, GLI's by beating them in a "Kia" Love to have people ask you when pumping gas or at a store, what kind of car is that Want a car that can do launch control while carrying your bike in its trunk Than this Stinger is for you. I have had my 21 GT Line AWD for four months and absolutely smile ear to ear driving it. It takes backroads and corners pretty well. Pros: I get stopped at gas stations, parking lots, red lights asking what is that? Or people just loving the style of the Stinger. It makes me proud I am paying payments on something I love. This thing drives very nice and have plenty of pickup. I could've got a GT but know a GT is not good for my driving record. I have the sun/sound package and It is extremely loud. I can't tolerate the volume no more than 3/4 of the way up. Cons: Coming from a Nissan Altima, this thing sucks gas more like a V6. The biggest pain is using 91 or better octane. I tried to use 87 and it seem like it started sucking gas like a V8. Attention seeker- This thing sticks out in normal traffic and it makes it worse because I have the Micro Blue color (Bright Blue color) Height- I am 6'1 with long legs. I got used to it but I have to duck due to its roof design

My 2nd Stinger
I liked the, body style, performance, reliability, overall Interior workmanship, and features of the 2018 Stinger GT1 so much I traded it in (because of the high mileage I put on the car) and upgraded to 2022 Stinger GT2.. A whole lot of fantastic car for the money; no corner cutting.

Love it!
2022 Kia Stinger GT1 AWD. It's my 50th vehicle and by far my favorite. Great power, craftsmanship, very quick, a beast in the snow with the AWD. Everywhere I go people love coming up and asking about it. People have literally waited for me to come out from the store or gas station just to ask about it. Even BMW, Audi, and such owners ask about it all the time. Just absolutely stunning vehicle, it looks fast even sitting still. I have the ceramic gray color. I've added a cold air intake and a TDI tuner as well, much like my jeep Wrangler lots of easy inexpensive mods are available. Great room inside , very comfortable seats, technology wise Kia always leads the way with their intuitive designs. And don't forget it's a hatchback so the trunk space is as much as my grand Cherokee with the back seats folded down. Just absolutely love this vehicle

Kia stinger GT1
The vehicle is a very nice and beautiful car overall. However, I feel for the price their asking for the stinger isn’t worth it. Overall, my main upset was 2 things; driver seat is very tight and compact and wasn’t comfortable nor felt safe driving when my left arm is pressed against the window and/ window buttons, and secondly theres certain parts of the interiors that are made of plastic. For the name and brand Kia, I personally wouldn’t spend that much for the vehicle.

2023 Kia Stinger GT2 RWD ... this is the real deal
This car is simply amazing. I looked around at a lot of cars (Charger 392s / Hellcats, Challenger 392s / Hellcats, Mustang 5.0s, etc.) and I simply could not find anything that gives me what this car gives me. Ceramic Silver with Crimson Red interior ... S T U p i d fast, great looks, unreal tech, and a car that, quite simply, is not that common. EVERYONE has a Charger or Challenger or Mustang ... I wanted something that people would do a double-take on. And I found it. The absolute perfect blend of all aspects of a car (power, comfort, uniqueness, FUN, and reliability). I saw them when they first came out in 2018 and when I heard they were going away, I knew I had to get the last model year. And it's a hatchback ... [Update 05.07.24] I now have 8,700 miles on the car, put an Adro Carbon Fiber body kit on, and am planning to put 2 cold air intakes in ... still grinning from ear to ear. [Update 05.08.25] I now have 14,500 miles on it and still happy as can be with my selection!

Stinger gt1
Love everything about this car. I get compliments everywhere I go. The styling is different from most other things on the road. It has enough power to get you going. I do wish they would have offered a more performance focused model maybe with more horsepower.

Best car I’ve ever owned!
I’m probably the luckiest girl on the planet, as I’ve had the privilege of owning two Kia Stinger GT2 AWD vehicles. My 2019 was black with Napa red interior, and she was truly a black beauty. i was t-boned on the driver’s side by a large SUV traveling at 60 mph after only having her for 2 months and 29 days. She was totaled, but I was I walked away from the accident without a scratch because of the safety features of my Stinger. My 2023 is Ascot green with black interior. I’ve never seen another green Stinger on the road, and I love that I seem to have a one-of-kind vehicle! The power, handling and look of these cars is unmatched by anything the general population can afford. I hate to see this line discontinued, but so thankful that I’ve had the opportunity to be a Stinger Girl!

Best car of i'ts kind for the money.
I'm fortunate enough to have gotten one of the Scorpion special edition GT2's which were only available in 2021-22 2022 model year. This I have to say is the best car i have ever owned. From performance to luxury to technology it covers all of the bases for me. I've been car enthusiast since i was about 10 years old.

Vanishing Point
I have always wanted a Stinger since it was introduced , the looks and performance are great when the Tribute Edition was announced Ascot green with saddle brown interior I bought one. Only a week with the car and I Love it . The thing I did not expect is all of the people looking at my car , I think its the Ascot green that makes the overall look of the car classy , but make no mistake it is an Animal when you want it to be.

Never thought I would buy a Kia!
I love the car and it's very fast, which I also love. However, I don't like where some of the controls are located and the ride is rather rough, even for this type of car. I wish it had a CD player option. Overall I'm happy with my purchase

Good Car for Young Professionals
I had this car as a lease from April 2022-April 2025 and it was a good car to lease for the type of job I had. It’s a good entry level car for the sports sedan segment with a twist of luxury and a lot of people liked my car and I enjoyed it too. The part I didn’t enjoy was dealing with Kia Finance. They really ruined the experience of the car because they would heavily mismanage my on-time payments of the car. Avoid that finance company if you can help it. I recommend the V6 as well since it’s got more power.

Love this car
I like everything about this car
Had the deposit ready. Wife said no.
I actually drove a 22 GT2 w/ 26k on the clock. Kia dealer wanted what felt like a whopping amount for it $34k. The Stinger did feel fast and stable but i didn't care for the old style transmission, it could use a PDK style box. The steering was just no where for feeling. The turbo lag was annoying but not terrible. This car has a very small gas tank so i'd be stopping a lot and i wanted it for highway use. It does have a beautiful warranty tho - 8yrs and 62k miles drivetrain, unheard of for a "performance" vehicle. On "Sport" setting it pipes exhaust sound, I think a V8, thru the speakers like some premium German brands do. It's fake and cheap. Put a nice exhaust system on the car instead. The Stinger seems to have a lot of grip thru the sweepers and it stays flat which is nice, but this car is quite heavy. It needs a NA V8 (normally asperated) or non turbo/supercharged. From what I have read it can be hopped up to around 450 bhp for about $1100 which would be an interesting mod but you may not have a warranty anymore. Got to say the Kia dealership was nice and Tommy was tops over at Goose Creek SC. Thought about putting a deposit on it but guess I didn't feel it that much for the money.
