Used 2015 Jeep Renegade Consumer Reviews
Renegade -- - its awesome!
Ive owned 5 Wranglers, 2 Grand Cherokees and 1 Commander in my life. This is by far the smallest vehicle I've ever owned and I think its my favorite. I have a 2 year old so I can't really do a 2 door Wrangler right now (sad) and the 4 door just doesn't do the gas mileage I need everyday for my commute. I've always been skeptical of Jeep "offspring" (ala Patriot, Liberty, etc..) because they feel cheap and not like "real" Jeeps. I was equally as skeptical of this Renegade before I test drove it. I gotta say, this thing handles a lot like a Wrangler. Stiff handling but not as rough a ride as a Wrangler. I love it. The interior is not cheap feeling and also resembles a Wrangler. The more I drive this thing, the more I like it. All the fun of driving a Wrangler just a little more tame for us city commuters with 2 year olds. I have the Trailhawk version, although its unlikely I'll ever go off roading with it. But its nice to have the option and this thing feels like an off-road machine in and out. I will get to have some fun in the Minnesota snow this winter and I have no doubts about how the Renegade will handle in that. Only "complaint" is that the back window visibility is a little limited by the window pillars, but there's a back up cam that takes most of that worry away. I love love love it.

What the heck is wrong with the Battery?!
Second time that I'm off town for 5 days and the battery goes completely dead for no reason. No lights on or anything. First time the dealership replaced the entire battery. Now I don't know what they r going to do. The key is also stuck in the ignition so there is no way for me to lock the car. I can't not have a working brand new car everytime I don't use it for 5 days. I have to go to work. This is a nightmare!

Should've kept looking!
I purchased a 2015 Latitude 2.4 9A, Not Limited "but best choice given". Jan. '16 Test drive went great. So while financing, Find out the payments will be $50 more than I agreed to pay. Walked out, Only to find I have no plates on my then Buick. Found salesman, Not so politely requested to "put my plates back on my car I'm leaving!" Suddenly my payment went down $50 mo. By day three, I e-mailed salesman to return vehicle. Basically told me they don't do that. Had to wait 2 mos. for owners manual. Still never received disc part. Transmission sucked. Until the latest software upgrade. Gained 20-30 miles per tank of gas with that also. Rattles are MANY, And difficult to pinpoint the source. Terrible wind noise from drivers door. Have had adjusted once, But didn't help much. Aside from the noises, Highway ride is really close to the Buick Verano I traded. City not so much. BUT I avg. 2 mpg more than the Buick, With 4WD. But Jeep is 200 lbs. lighter. All said, I cannot wait to trade this thing off. Never should have been dumb enough to buy anyway. **UPDATE** Traded Rengade for 2016 Cherokee Sport , In September.

run away renegade
my renegade took off on me one time- when I was finally able to get it stopped, I called the dealership to have it towed back to their lot. It only had 100 miles on it! One of their automotive experts worked on it and found out for himself how dangerous this vehicle was (is). I HATE THIS CAR!!! I was EXTREMELY luck to get out from underneath this "headache" with only losing $3,000!!! NEVER AGAIN!!
