Stop/Start - TWO MORE SECONDS PLEASE

I've never before owned a vehicle with the Stop/Start feature. I'm not opposed to it, they just need to improve it. This thing can turn off the engine in less than two seconds after coming to a stop. If it just waited another two seconds I don't think I would ever find it disturbing. I pull into my garage and it turns off the engine....which would be fine except I haven't shifted to PARK yet. When I do...the engine starts again...just so I can then turn it off. The same thing happens pulling up to the drive-up window at the bank. TWO MORE SECONDS would fix this. I find myself changing the way I drive to circumvent what this thing wants to do. Lifting your foot off the brake early at stop signs, or not completely stopping at all is one example. I know, there is a button to turn this feature off, but its ALWAYS ON when you start the vehicle. The car has to irritate me once first to remind me I can turn off the "feature". The engineer in me says this just can't be any good for longevity of the starter and associated components. JEEP, CHRYSLER...TWO MORE SECONDS, PLEASE !

Trackhawk is an absolute monster

What can I say this thing defies the laws of physics. If you’ve driven in one then you know just what this thing is capable of. It will have you back in your seat laughing like a happy kid. It blurs out snarls and roars when you hit the gas yet has all the road manners of a luxury SUV when you just wanna cruise. My only gripe about this car is Jeep service. JEEP are you listening? After tax I spent over $100k yet I don’t get a rental car or have to wait hours for something if I am in service. At best the dealer will rent me a car or send me home in Uber which strands me without a vehicle because my Trackhawk is my only car. You should create a service feature where any car over $50k gets loaner vehicles and free car washes. Fix that and I’ll be a customer for life. Update: I drove the car to about 15,000 miles and sold it. I had to replace brake rotors and pads which cost nearly $5K and a set of tires for about $2K. Expensive toys have expensive repairs. Be prepared for that every 15k miles or so. I lowered the car using Eibach springs to help with the body roll in the turns. It helped immensely and smoothed our the ride a lot. Track mode became unusable though because the ride was way too harsh. All in all it’s a great vehicle. I somehow went from 1 car to 3 in a matter of months and stopped driving the Jeep. It made no sense to pay for Expensive registration and insurance for a car that just sat there. I still recommend the Trackhawk but I hope that they come out with a new body style soon. This current one is 7 or 8 years old now.

The Grand Cherokee Experience

Excellent vehicle. The 6 cylinder paired with the 8 speed automatic transmission makes for excellent performance in the city or on the highway. Jeep has certainly came a long way with the vehicles ride, comfort and performance. The only complaint that I have is the way the dealership witch I leased it from treated my wife and I.

Great SUV @ Great Price

I have been driving my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee for 6 months now. My company leased me this as my "company car" as I sometimes have to transport customers and/or product. Overall, this has been a great vehicle. It needs only a few items to feel more premium based on the pricing. Pluses: Styling and quality are excellent. I still look at it when I am walking away from it as I think the Jeep Grand Cherokee has to be one of the sexiest looking SUV's out there. The quality of the Grand Cherokee has been very good. I have only had it to the dealership for an oil change. The Uconnect media interface is great. It occasionally has an issue connecting, but overall, very good. I like the ride. I hate floaty vehicles that don't "feel" the road. Driving in snow is effortless. Great visibility. Doesn't feel like it's going to tip over when making a "spirited" turn. Negatives: The dealership experience is a joke. Between the sales people and the service staff and lack of an upscale experience at the local CJDR (Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram) dealer, I feel like I have bought a lowly fleet vehicle even though this is a Limited trim line with 4 wheel drive. The fuel economy combined is approximately 17-18 mpg. I had a 2016 Ford Explorer EcoBoost 4 cylinder which got 15 mpg combined and was a dog. This drives much nicer. Please don't make me press the "eco" button every damn time I get in this SUV to turn off the stop/start feature. Obnoxious. Relocate the memory functions for the seats. On the left hand drivers door panel is where my knee hits it constantly. It needs to be mounted higher on the door panel. The seats are squishy and not very supportive. It seems like Jeep went cheap on the amount of foam or the foam stiffness. My leather jacket seems to have discolored the "beige" trim. More wheel choices would be nice. Not really a fan of the 18" wheels on the Limited version. They look a little small. 19" or 20" wheels should be more of a stand alone option. The A/C seems to kick off when I forget to turn off the ECO mode at lights. The acceleration seems a little sluggish at times with this transmission hunting for the gears under hard acceleration. The brakes are great! Rain sensor wipers should be standard on this trim level too. Bottom line - I could live with this vehicle for 4-5 years. I would also buy this vehicle as my own personal SUV. I looked at GMC Acadia's briefly as well, but their lease prices were higher and the dealerships seemed to be even more arrogant. I also own a German luxury sedan and an American sports car made in Kentucky. This is a great addition to my "fleet" as I have decided to keep those other two vehicles for the time being. I find myself driving the Jeep more than my other two vehicles because of the ability to throw whatever I want in it.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo E

This budget friendly SUV comes with Trail Rated package, which is definitely worth the extra $1800. Acceleration is very good. The ride is smooth and confident. The turning radius is fantastic. Gas mileage is lower than stated by the manufacturer. I get overall 17 miles per gallon combined. The vehicle is very well built. There are no squeaks or rattles. The stock Good Year tires are adequate for winter driving, however, I will get winter tires for the next season.
