I love my j30!
It's funny that I have had my j30 for a little more than a year now and for the most part it has been one hell of a ride. As we all know the down side is, ok ill say it no trunk just about. But perfect for a short weekend get away. The body is pure timeless, with its smooth sexy lines to match the way she drive. When I first got this car I just got rid of my faithful Geo prizm so to change meant that my driving style had to change to. I would fishtail a lot so to my amazement, just to give the car a fresher lot I put 18" chrome rims on it and my god a firmer ride plus no more fishtailing. With its strong engine, and a little minor work I know we both will stay forever young. MY FAVORITE 1 YET!
Luxury, reliable, and great price
I bought this Car from my dealership for $1,200 with 218,000 miles a year ago just as some temporary transportation, I liked it so much that i decided to replace the timing belt and water pump as preventative maintenance and the mechanic said the engine was in such good condition i could easily go another 100,000 miles. Gas mileage could be better i get about 17 MPG city and 21 MPG HWY But it makes up for it in Performance and reliability, I just rolled over 228,000 miles and whenever i sell this vehicle it will make someone a very dependable luxury vehicle

Best Car I Ever Owned
My 1995 J30 is my baby. I have owned many foreign cars, including two Volvos and two Jags. This is the best car by a mile. Bought it with 20K miles, now 12 years later it has 190K, no major repairs, no big money inputs, just purrs along. Made like only the Japanese can make a car, IN Japan. Great body work quality, great interior design, good acceleration. Others complain about gas mileage - I disagree. My J30 is a time machine. Set it at 85 on cruise control, AC on, and broom through the Arizona desert at 25 mpg, giving you a range of almost 500 miles. I love the outside styling, like the old jag salons with the rounded rear trunk. Best car ever made.
1995 J30
I bought my J30 at an auction with 104,000 miles now at 140000. Air conditioner went out, but otherwise I've never been so happy with a 14 year old car. I've had new vehicles that didn't make me this happy. It will drive threw anything, you can mud in this car. It steers itself almost with the 4wheel steering. Replace relay switches and shorts will go away. It's hard to trouble shoot the electrical but we fixed it. Tail lights and blinkers lights were acting crazy on off. Someone got rid of this car and gave me a gift cause they couldn't fix it. I love it.
Incredible Reliability
I bought this car new in 1995 and still own it in 2005. Admittedly I have not put much mileage on it, but it HAS NEVER BEEN IN THE SHOP. I have had one new set of tires, one new battery, and normal service (fluids, filters, etc.) -- that's it. Since this is 2005, the only reason I'm writing this review is for possible used car buyers. I would recommend it highly, due to the incredible reliability. After ten years, it still starts in .2 seconds after I turn the key. The car has a small trunk and the back seat is rather uncomfortable. Gas mileage is poor. But it is a lot of fun to drive, very quick to steer, brake, or accelerate, together with a quiet and comfortable cabin.
Infiniti J30
I love the J30, the interior is very comfortable and the most luxurious car I have ever owned. The exterior is classy and still looks good for a 12 year old car. Only disappointment is the engine is louder than expected, small trunk, and biggest disappointment are the cup holders are poorly designed, and completely useless. This is not a car for traveling long distances. Overall, it is a very good car and would recommend it to anyone.
Pure Reliability!
This car is my second Infiniti in which both cars performed with great reliabilty. Low Maintenance, and the ten year 100,000 mile warranty is super. Call me consumer loyal but YES I will buy a third Infiniti again this year. I amm hooked and love the performance of these cars not once while driving these two cars have I ever had Major problems. Infinit is highly recommended in my book!
know one knows what year it is
I just got it 95 j30t and it is amazaing to drive, I love the shape and no one know what year it is. Is it a 2000, 2003? i never tell them its a 95
buy it
Purchased with 44K miles in '95, now have 170K.Plan to replace it at 200k. Only major problem was with A/C. Entry level luxury with minor maintenance. Live in Northeast and with rear wheel drive have had no problems in snow.
Excellent Drive
For a first car, this has been one of the best driving experiences I've had. The problems I've had have been minor and inexpensive to fix. Though there are small annoyances, the car has been wonderful to drive.
The Car to have
I bought this car at auction with just over 4000 miles on it, the styling sold me, the performance and handling made me fall in love. after owning this car for over 6 years iwas still thrilled every time I got behind the wheel. This is a wonderful piece of automotive craftmanship, for an 8 yr. old auto the ride was still smooth, the handling tightand the engine strong and reliable. My biggest complement is to its safty, my teenage daughter ran my J30t head on into a gaurd rail, it was totaled, over 25000 in damage. Luckily my child walked away with a few brusies from the air bags deploying. I,m looking for another one at this time.
Gre~~~~~eee~~~aat~~!!
I am pretty much satisfied with this gorgeous car... I bought 6year old J30 from dealer shop. But all the things are perfect, including very minor part... I didn't need to repair any parts, and the BOSE sound was great. I have never heard that BOSE sound be blamed. It runs great... It have made me like to drive at any time...^^ great...
The Fun is BACK!
Not since I had my 1968 Olds 4-4-2 has driving been so much fun. I now volunteer to be the designated driver whenever an opportunity arises. I had a moment of temporary insanity to buy a car with 135,000 miles but if I close my eyes int the car, it feels like 35,000 miles. This car is built like a fortress...solid like a rock and everything worlks great.
Nice car
This is a great buy if you can get one with low miles. I got mine with 56.000 mi, and now year later and 12.000 miles I'm still very happy with it. The rear wheel drive, 210 HP, and very good handling puts this car in par with BMW's. It is build like a tank, and it's got very luxurious feel to it. I love it's BOSE stereo system (much better than the one I once had in my Vette). I can definitely recommend this car to anyone.
I love my J30t
After reading many other reviews, I decided to buy a 1995 J30t. I was a little disappointed with the quality of craftsmanship. The leather tends to wear out easily, the trip odometer doesn't work properly, The trim around the seat and doors are loose, the center console is not sturdy, and the rear speakers had to be repaired. The exterior is very sturdy and the paint still looks flawless. The engine is strong, but not as quiet as everyone claims. I had minor repairs (timing belt, hoses, plugs, thermostat) but these were all due. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase, but expected more from the reviews I read.
Awesome car
I've had my J30 for 3 years, and have not had a single problem (except for the CD player skipping, which I don't count that). I've thought about getting another car lately (Mustang, SUV), but I can't bear to part with my J30. Friends comment that my car looks brand new - I contribute some of this to my keeping it clean, but the excellent paint, materials, and engineering are the key. It's extremely comfortable, accelerates and handles well, and gas mileage is reasonable.
Good dependable car
I bought my 1995 J30 (16'rims) two years ago. Did not have a single problem with it!! If you want nice, cheap, semi-luxurious, rear wheel drive sedan - this is it. Get one with low miles to enjoy it for years. It's not perfect (that's why they made new G35), but it is fun to drive. As for looks (in and out) - I like it. Good BOSE system!! The car feels very sold after all these years.
Great Car !!!!
My wife and I bought this car in 1998 with 29,000 miles. We have put about 90,000 more on it since and have had no problems at all. This is a fun, reliable and well built car. Watch out for the radio or speakers going bad. They are Bose and are hard and expensive to fix.
Go J30
This is one car you can buy without worrying about the mileage.Built as a rock with total luxury inside.A great second car with a smooth ride and faultless infiniti reliability. Can't believe it's a 8 yr old car.Got it at 77000 and put on 30000 miles since then. Do the routine maintenance, you have one hell of a car you can trust.
Barely broken in
I never liked Datsuns and if you told me I would buy one with a timing belt... never. This car has 150K but everything is tight, quiet, no leaks or squeaks. The body is curvy and timeless. Always starts right up.4 spd auto shifts right where it should. Quick and quiet. 23mpg. I plan to keep 5 years
Speedy but not too reliable
This was my first car-unfortunately I was hit by a Ford F-250 a month ago which totalled it. I babied this car but it just wasn't big enough for more than 2 people to ride in comfortably. Very compact-truck could hold very little. This car handles GREAT but I wouldn't recommend asking too much of it. Totalling it was somewhat of a relief-it already needed a new transmission and exhaust w/ only 130k miles. Infiniti's quality should be better than that!
Untypical Infiniti Quality
Since my purchase I have had brake lights replaced on 5 separate occasions, all the windows have had to be replaced because they stopped working, and the audio deck light has a mind of its own, in that it fades on and off for no reason. In addition to that, I now have another brake light out, and the driver's side window is broken again. I also only get about 15 mpg, which empties my wallet faster than I would like. This is a really outstanding car, and fun to drive, but it is hard to see that since I have had nothing but problems with the electrical system.
Great Car
I have the car for a little over a month and it is great. It only had 64,000 miles when I purchased it so it dosen't feel anywhere near 8 years old. I've already put 4000 miles on it and I expect on keeping it at least 4 years. The engine is powerful, steering is fluid, and braking is on point. The interior is very tastefully done. My only complaint is that I expected the car to be a little more fuel efficient but that's ok. The trunk is not very big either but that's not a big problem for me anyway.
LUXURIOUS J30
I just bought a 95 J30 for my son and i just love it. It has a solid build and quality. The interior has a luxury feel in it with the heated front seats and the nice supple leather. Although my 2001 Maxima 20th ann. edition performs better and is sportier, it is not as luxurious as this J30. I am satisfied with my purchase.
Riding in luxurious style!
I recently prurchased my J30 rebuilt, the car was hit in the back, it was merely damaged, and the even after being wrecked, it still sounds quiet as a BMW. This car blows lexus in the dirt, with the BOSE system. The only problem I've had is figuring out which CD I want to listen to! Yeah, a few minor repairs, such as a timing belt, that is all that has been replaced. The ride is smoother than one of my friends' 2002 Avalanche. Going from a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass, to a high class luxury car such as the J30, is a wonderful feeling. All and all I would have to say that the J30 is one of the best cars that I will ever have, alot said for being only 16 years old.
Best Car
Very fun and Luxurious. A must see and drive. The J30 is a high quality luxury car. So many features.
