Looks great but horrible reliability - do not buy
When I bought my 2013 Santa Fe 2.0T it seemed like a great deal. It is probably the best equipped vehicle in the small SUV category with panoramic sunroof, navigation, heated and cooled seats, collision and parking camera, nice interior style, many features that were, and still are not standard in BMW, Audi and Toyota. Looks way better than comparable Toyota, Audi or most other "competitors" in the segment that are $15,000+ more expensive. Over the last few years since I have owned it, the lack of quality from Hyundai has really come through and proved to be unchanged from the 1980s when they first came to NA. Replaced turbo chargers twice, once off warranty, with dangerous incidents associated with both when they failed. Many front suspension creaks, thumps and grindings - seemingly unfixable as done bearings twice. Done full brake jobs (+$1,600 each) several times. A growing number of interior creaks and rattles, ridiculous wind noise while driving, vague steering and huge turbo lag have continued to get worse over the passing kilometers and years. A constant stream of other regular service costs and repairs along the way that I never had with my previous Toyotas (or even my same year Jaguar XF for that matter). I would never buy another Hyundai again. They look great but quality is still a long way off for this discount Honda/Toyota wannabe. The original Hyundai dealer in my city is horrible and not trustworthy or honest so have had to go to independent garages and a new second Hyundai dealer that just opened.. I have lost trust in the brand and am disappointed that at heart Hyundai's are still just a crappy and unreliable 1980s Pony but in a prettier package. Spend the extra money and buy a Toyota or Honda for true reliability, or something German if you want the driving experience as well.

great for family /poor AC condensor protection
This vehicle has been good for our family for going to activities and outings HOWEVER, it has left us hanging with the AC condensor getting holes easily punctured through the grill causing the AC to completely go out, needing approx $800 to fix and now it has done it again almost 2 years later. I have NEVER had this happen to any other vehicle me or my husband has owned or any of our family. This is again going to be a costly venture as the warranty does not cover however I feel that Hyundai needs to address this issue, perhaps RECALL.

Hyundai Santa Fe GSL
Great car for family or utility. Lots of leg room for up to 8 people or fold the seats down for plenty of hauling space. Ride very smooth like a car. Moderate amount of road noise.
