Used 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring Consumer Reviews
If it were a woman...I'd marry it!!!
Every morning I wake up, I still can't get over the fact I bought so much car for so little money. It's super comfortable and quiet on the road. The interior is truly top notch in terms of quality and lay out. The braking, steering, and acceleration are great. I'm averaging 32mpg with 60% hwy and 40% very heavy city driving. I also test drove a Honda Fit which was a joke in comparison to this.
Based on several test drives
The model I am waiting for is the ES manual with the beige interior. That is why I am still waiting. Nice interior, looks pretty nice on the outside, lots of punch with a 5 speed, not so much with the auto. It really stands out in the non hybrid hatch- back field.Big difference between the GLS and the SE,such as no cruise control on a manual GLS,plus plastic hubcaps,Bleeech...My evaluation is based on the SE model.

- SE 4dr HatchbackMSRP: $3,39528 mi away

Fun Little Wagon
We recently traded our Sonata (2010) for this Elantra Touring. The Sonata was (and is) a great car, but we wanted more rearward visibility and less bulk. This car fills the bill, and adds a fun/sporty factor along with it. So far, we have really enjoyed the car and look forward to a lot of pleasant miles together.
yielded to peer pressure
When I realized it was time to retire my 2001 pontiac grand prix, I decided to listen to my family and try out a hyundai (my husband owns a tuscon, my son a sonata, my d-i-l a santa fe). When I walked into the showroom, I saw a chili pepper red hyundai elantra touring, sat in it,(it's as wide as my old pontiac) and decided to check it out on edmunds. Ended up at another dealership where a test drive sold me. My first new car in 30 years is comfortable, peppy, really good looking, fun to drive-and I think it gets pretty good mileage but I need a little more time to make sure. Love this car-and there's plenty of room for my keeshond to sprawl out on the back seat.
Good car but
I considered Civic, Legacy, and Elantra Touring (ET). I bought ET because I wanted to save money. Fuel Economy was okay, 26.6 MPG combined driving city and highway. As you know, new sonata 2011 can save more gas. I found that door lock was not working sometimes. After restart Engine, the door lock works fine. I changed 2 rims and 2 tires. The one original rim costed me $360 and the original tire cost me $168. Use tirerack.com, not Hyundai Dealer service. I think the original rim and tire is too weak. The good thing was no power train problems so far.
