Great Everyday Suburbia Truck
I've had the truck about 4 months and 5000 miles. I don't tow, haul, or do much truck stuff, but I've owned the new Tacoma and even a 2014 Ram 1500 in the past. The Honda by far is a superior truck for people who want a truck when needed but not the rough ride, bad gas mileage, or cramped interiors of other mid-size trucks. The good: For 2020 this truck is an amazing deal for what you get; Roomiest interior for any mid-size truck; SUV-like interior offers more nooks and crannies for things; Rear seats fold up which is awesome; gas mileage is ok in town (17) and good on HWY (22 --This compares almost directly with a 4x4 Tacoma or 4x4 Colorado; the trunk in the bed is huge and amazing and used all the time since it can be locked; the ride is smooth and quiet; The AWD system is amazing... I think it's better than our 2019 Subaru Ascent. The not so good: The turn radius is much wider than other mid-size trucks-- but still better than a full size truck; 2019 RTL models have no modern safety features which are now standard for 2020; The radio is horrible!!! BUT -- it was easily replaced with Kenwood Apple Car Play radio for minimal investment; the look of the truck is a bit polarizing and not for everyone...HOWEVER, a new set of wheels make a huge difference. The truck can take one size up without modification. I bought 17" KMC XD Holeshots with 255/65-17 white letter General Grabbers -- The truck looks 100% better!! Other than that there are not real draw backs as long as you don't expect to use this truck as a rock climber or a daily heavy hauler.

2019 Ridgeline Sport
Nice truck, rides well with plenty of storage room. It's just too bad you can't get navigation and Android play without upgrading a couple of levels.

Dealerships don't have to have to honor warranty
I love my ridgeline. The trunk in the bed is awesome! Unlike other midsize and small trucks, I can fit a full sheet of plywood in the bed without going over the wheelwells (tailgate down). The tailgate that opens down and also like a door is very convenient. The all wheel drive is awesome. I was driving on the beaches of the outer banks and I had more control than the jeeps. I see only two weaknesses in the vehicle, but one weakness in the Honda brand in general. The vehicle does not have a full size spare tire and the bed is shallow (not as deep as most pickups). I like the shallow bed, because I can more easily reach the bottom of the bed when standing next to the truck, but the volume of the bed is smaller than other trucks (but can still fit a full sheet of plywood with the tailgate down. The biggest problem may be with the Honda name. Apparently, because the dealerships are all privately owned, they can choose not to honor the warranty on your vehicle. The dealership can charge you $139 for a diagnostic to determine if something is wrong with your vehicle, and they tell you that the fee will go away if the part is under warranty. But, then they can turn around and say they don't cover it and you're stuck paying $200 for a bulb that was covered under the factory warranty. Both Honda corporate and another dealership told me that the bulb was covered, but Honda North (of Danvers, MA) decided that it was not!

Hands Down, My Best Vehicle!
I purchased my 2019 RTL-E AWD in September of 2019 after months of research and narrowing my choices down to the 4-Runner, Tacoma and Ridgeline. After missing out on a great deal on a 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport, I made an appointment to test drive this Ridgeline, which was also priced very well($34K). I haven't regretted the purchase for a second. Not only does it ride superbly, even with five adults (comfortably) seated, it has handled the wintry Michigan roads better than any of the Jeeps I have owned(Liberty, Patriot & Renegade Trailhawk). It cuts through slushy roads with ease and though there has been less snowfall this winter, I have gone through about 6'' of snow in Snow Mode, with no issue. It has tremendous room; as stated above, five adults rode comfortably on a pretty long in-state road trip. It's surprising how comfortable the rear seats are, considering they can be flipped up, to open up the rear for more storage. The lockable trunk is a highlight in itself! In addition to offering lots of dry, secure storage, I often use it to store groceries, keeping them cold in the winter if I don't go straight home after shopping. It has great power coming from the engine, even in Economy Mode, which I use almost exclusively. I love the remote start and the heated seats, in the winter. The stereo is easy to use and has terrific sound. I do wish there was satellite radio compatibility, but that just saves me subscription costs in the long run. The only other feature I miss is a built in compass. I'm happy with the mileage, considering I was getting around 22 MPG with my 4 cylinder Renegade and I am currently averaging over 20 with the 6 cylinder and several days of letting it warm up on the cold mornings. This is my first Honda, but I know from close friends that they're highly reliable. This will do anything I need in a truck, with a much smoother ride. I can't recommend this vehicle enough. Update 8/2020 Closing in on a year of owning the Ridgeline and I couldn’t be happier with it! The MPG’s have gone up over the warm months and I’m currently averaging just shy of 25 MPG. I have not had a single issue with the vehicle since I bought it and I’m very happy with the service department at the dealership; a 180 from the dealership I purchased my last two vehicles from. The only two things I think could be improved are having an in-dash compass and the cruise control is still taking some getting used to because there’s no display to let you know what speed you’re setting it at, and it seems to add a couple MPH to where I thought I set it to. I could not care less about friends and family saying it’s not a “truck”, because it’s everything I need in a truck, and I’ve been in some dicey off-road situations and though it’s clearly not a Tacoma, it got me out some places I shouldn’t have taken it. Buy one, you won’t regret it!

First impressions of Ridgeline '19
Sharp looking and a pleasure to drive! I like the dual direction tailgate and roomy trunk space under the truckbed.
