Used 2016 Honda Pilot Consumer Reviews
Honda Pilot is Elite!!
If you want the Elite Trim you will have to be patient and lucky. Some sales associates that need to make their numbers will push the lower trims. They may tell you there is not much difference in what you get. Do your home work and sit in one yourself. The Elite closes the gap with Acura MDX, Buick Enclave, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Lexus RX etc. You may read reviews that complain about the controls for the radio and navigation. There are some valid annoyances and you can get over them. (Volume can go crazy when switching between sources, i.e. Bluetooth to phone, Bluetooth to FM, iPod to radio.) So turn down your volume a little prior to switching sources.

Terrible Transmission in Most Expensive Honda!
Transmission never worked correctly! During the third Regular Maintenance and after several upgrades to take care of the Transmission problems in previous Regular Maintenance appointments, I was told Honda had ordered the Dealer to keep my vehicle so they could replace the Transmission! What, I yelled! It only has 12,000 miles and you have fixed twice before and now you tell me it needs replaced!!! Disappointment began and went on and on and on. Told transmission problem was being experienced by others....Given an Accord not an SUV to drive for weeks...told dealer I wanted another new 2016 Honda Pilot Elite manufactured after Transmission problems were known and hopefully corrected...Was told how to contact Honda company.....Which told me how to look at the Owner's manual and appeal their decision to not give me a new one but rather fix the old one....Filed the appeal....The so called reputable board turned me down...and turned down (or did not even see) my second choice of "you fix it and give me back money I lost by trading wife's older Honda Pilot and my 2013 Honda Civic in to make my wife happy....They was NOT mentioned in the turn down of a new one but they also did not refer to it and I am unsure if they even knew about it!!...They requested I reply and agree to their decision.....I just filed all the paperwork....so sad am I

Our 6th Honda!!
We have owned 5 different Hondas in the last 11 years, passing down the older models to our growing children. This Honda Pilot touring AWD is by far the nicest of them. I researched this vehicle for two months before it even came out and has definately been worth the wait. This will be a vehicle that we will keep until it dies! It has everything you would need and more. I still haven't said, " I just wish it had_____." I don't think I will. I have the power I love with all of the conveniences, and most importantly, the space I need, wrapped up in a stylish new package.

The best SUV of 2016
I have tried Highlander 2012 for four years and owning this car for 3 months and see that Honda Pilot is above everything than Toyota Highlander. It's definetely best SUV.

Superbly designed and executed vehicle
I got the EX-L with AWD, since we frequently go to snowy areas in winter. The Pilot is very comfortable, the controls are intuitive and easy to operate, and the ride and handling feel solid but not harsh. The mileage is surprisingly good for a vehicle of this size, although the actual mpg calculated by odometer miles vs gallons at the gas station are about 1.5 - 2 mpg less than the calculated mpg per tank on the dashboard. Nevertheless, we got high mid-high 20's on a recent long trip over predominantly level terrain, despite having the AWD version. The materials have the look and feel of quality, the ride is quiet and smooth, and it is a thoroughly enjoyable vehicle to drive. The very back seat can easily hold two average sized adults, compared with negligible space in the very back seat in a Toyota Highlander I had compared in making the purchase decision. Update; now at 7 years and 90+ K miles, no significant mechanical issues of any sort. Very satisfied
